“Double standard”— The Real Housewives of Potomac fans react to Gizelle and Mia’s fight

The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 released episode 12 on December 22. Titled Shake the Devil Off, the episode documented the cast members' arrival in Panama for their trip. Here, Gizelle and Mia confronted each other about their long-reigning feud.

Gizelle disclosed that she didn't like that Mia brought up her children into their fight on The Real Housewives of Potomac. She referred to the time when she criticized Mia for her parenting skills and Mia bit back revealing what Gizelle had told her in confidence. Mia brought up Gizelle's daughter sneaking boys into their house, questioning her parenting skills.

The public revelation of such an event by Mia had hurt Gizelle, which was the reason for the crack in their friendship. So when the latter confronted Mia at the table, Mia justified herself for commenting.

This was where Wendy jumped in and pointed out how quick Gizelle was to call her out when she merely talked about Gizelle's daughter going to college, but she didn't point a finger toward Mia as quickly despite her saying ill things about her daughter.

Fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac took to X to discuss their fight.

"Wendy calling out the double standard, Gizelle should have wayyy more smoke for Mia considering the way she acted last season..," a fan said.

"Gizelle really not an iconic housewife because she did not READ Mia at that table like she was suppose to," said another.

"The way Gizelle treated Wendy and Candiace and the way she’s choosing to deal with Mia is definitely telling. She’ll never beat those allegations and I’ll leave it at that," added a third.

"I'm glad Wendy said something about that double standard. Mia aint shit and she essentially called Gizelle's daughters some whores and Gizelle just sat there. Wendy "made a face" when Gizelle was talking about her daughters graduating and Gizelle went OFF," another wrote.

Most fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac agreed with the fact that Gizelle didn't react to Mia like she did to Wendy.

"It took Gisele 3 to 5 business days to tell Mia that her daughters are perfect, but it took her 10 seconds to tell Wendy that she was in the wrong when Mia threw a drink on her interesting I really do think Gisele is a hater on because Wendy has a lot of accomplishments," an X user wrote.

"Not Gizelle finally confronting Mia. It's about time lol," another X user wrote.

"The way Mia talked about Gizelle’s girls and doubled down on it should’ve had her cussing Mia all the way out. And like Wendy said, what Mia did is way worse than what she thought she saw Wendy do in the DR," commented one.

"Mia is such a dingdong. The difference between her and Gizelle is: Gizelle does not bring her daughters into the drama and she doesn’t put her daughter’s doings off social media on the show or online. Mia roped her kids into her mess," another wrote.

The confrontation between Gizelle, Mia, and Wendy on The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 episode 12

Gizelle said that her teenage daughter sneaking a boy in wasn't so bad, given her age, but Mia doing something similar would be because she wasn't a teenager. In the The Real Housewives of Potomac episode, she added that implying her daughter was less than perfect for doing such a thing was wrong.

Mia didn't apologize, she said she was only replying to the "perfect family" post that Gizelle made, and was pointing out how her family wasn't so perfect. Wendy jumped in at this point, accusing Gizelle of coming after her just for talking about her daughter's college journey.

The latter said that she wasn't talking to Wendy at the time, which is why she was even more enraged at her, as compared to the time Mia talked about her daughter, because was her friend.
