Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills released episode 5, High Horses and Low Blows, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. The episode saw the cast attend Kyle's western party, during which tensions reached a boiling point. When Sutton addressed the group and requested everyone to maintain a "sisterhood," Erika called her out for being "volatile."
While Sutton disagreed, Dorit attested to Erika's statement, pointing at her erratic behavior. The unexpected turn of tables unsettled Sutton, leading to a heated argument with Dorit.
Since returning from Oceanside, Sutton hoped the ladies worked on their interpersonal relationships and would not talk behind each other's backs or secretly criticize one another. She hoped they could be cordial and not "disjointed." While Sutton expressed herself before the group, Erika said:
"I do appreciate the sisterhood moment, I really do. I think that it's sincere but the one thing I would like to say to you since we're all being open, you're volatile."
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans took to X to react to Erika's comment about Sutton's behavior. While some criticized Erika for pointing fingers at Sutton, others supported her, recalling Sutton's explosive behavior in the past.
"Erika was right about Sutton coming across volatile," a fan wrote.
"This is not genuine, this is not kind, and this is not real. Sutton is volatile, she’s unhinged, and her emotions are misplaced. I’ve had enough," another fan commented.
"I know this isn’t the one who called Sutton volatile!!" a netizen tweeted.
Some fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills believed Sutton's behavior was "volatile."
"I love Sutton. But she just said sisterhood 87 times and then she was a total b**ch to Dorit. It's giving "volatile",'" a user reacted.
"Erika called Sutton volatile and she immediately proved Erika right. LMAO!!" a person commented.
"“I think it’s a good description of Sutton” Tilly agree with Erika when she calls Sutton volatile. I was NOT expecting that. It’s crazy how Sutton claims she’s not then two seconds she’s raising her voice with the “Wait a minute!” She got triggered quick," another fan wrote.
In contrast, other The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans criticized Erika for coming at Sutton.
"Erika calling Sutton volatile. lol…Erika has that pretend amnesia again," one user posted.
"Erika Jayne, the woman who had to be taught what empathy is saying Sutton has a personality disorder??? Ok OK….sure Jan," a person reacted.
"F**k off Erika. Sutton offered you money and was there for you. UNTIL all that s**t came out about you and your huzzbend. Get real," another netizen commented.
"It is a good description of Sutton" — The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Jennifer reacts to Erika's comment about the cast member
After the ladies settled in at Kyle's western party, Sutton addressed everyone to make an important announcement. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star mentioned that she did not want the group to be "so disjointed," reiterating the importance of honoring "sisterhood" and "honesty."
Upon hearing that, Erika told the cameras that she had listened to those "speeches" countless times and struggled to refrain from reacting each time.
"I'm just trying to move forward, man. Like, give me a f**king break," she said.
Meanwhile, Sutton added that she wanted everyone to feel "free and open, and honest with one another." At that point, Erika spoke up and called Sutton "volatile." The other ladies listened silently while Jennifer reacted to the statement by saying:
"I don't think she meant it as a compliment. I think she meant it as a put-down but I do think it is a good description of Sutton."
While Erika continued pointing out Sutton's "inconsistent" behavior," the latter defended herself by saying she was only being "truthful." However, the ladies, Erika and Dorit, in particular, remained unconvinced.
Earlier in the episode, during a conversation with her therapist, Erika explained why she believed Sutton's behavior was "inconsistent." The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member stated that Sutton's personality flipped whenever she felt left out.
"I've seen her get very angry about it and I've seen her get very insecure," she added.
Regardless, Sutton continued defending herself while Dorit and Erika claimed otherwise.
