"Every child is different"— Kourtney Kardashian opens up about how her eldest son used to sleep in her bed

Kourtney Kardashian opened up that she has no cutoff age for co-sleeping with her kids, saying that "every person's different." The reality TV star recalled how old her oldest son, Mason Disick, was before he stopped sleeping in her bed.

During the Monday, September 16, episode of The Skinny Confidential podcast, the oldest Kardashian sibling said:

"I think every person's different and every child is different. My oldest son [Mason Disick] slept with me 'till he was 7."

Kardashian also recalled that when Mason was younger, she would put him to bed in his own room. However, he would come to her room and sleep there instead. The habit only stopped when Mason turned seven, to which Kourtney Kardashian said:

"He [Mason] was like, 'I'm done with you, I sleep in my own room [now].'"

As for her only daughter, Penelope Disick, who just turned 12 last July, the reality TV star stated that it was different. She added that her daughter slept with her "pretty much till she was 11."

She noted that co-sleeping with her children feels "natural and instinctual" to her. She also mentioned reading and hearing the benefits of co-sleeping with kids and reasoned out that "it's something that mammals have been doing since time existed."

In a candid conversation about sleeping arrangements with her kids, Kourtney Kardashian revealed that she has the "craziest" sleeping schedule at the moment because of her new baby's routine. For the unversed, the Lemme founder and her husband, Travis Barker, welcomed their son Rocky in November 2023.

Talking about co-sleeping with her youngest kid, she said in the podcast:

"I'm on the craziest hours right now because of our whole summer of touring, but I think one thing too is that we sleep with our baby."

Elsewhere in the podcast, the oldest Kardashian sibling further said that her mother, Kris Jenner, has been "resistant" to the sleeping arrangements she prefers with her kids. However, the reality TV star added that she's not bothered by her mom's opinions because "it's not her [Kris] baby."

As for her Blink-182 drummer husband, Kourtney said that he is on the same page with her about the sleeping arrangements. She noted that having both parents aligned in that aspect "is really important," adding that Barker "loves it too."

Moreover, Kourtney Kardashian addressed the issue of privacy and intimacy when it comes to her and her husband and their kids. She noted that they usually find alternate ways, like sneaking around their house, which she said was "fun."

The Kardashian star mentioned that they "figure it out" whenever they need privacy from their kids. She gave an example as to how they do it, stating that they "put locks on the theater door."
