Love is Blind Mexico's finale episode aired on August 15, 2024, where the couples either parted ways or decided to marry one another. Throughout the show, cast members formed strong connections in the pods and got to know each other without seeing each other.

One of the contestants who signed up for this social experiment, Alejandra Caletti initially bonded with Chema Rivera. Later, Chema decided to choose Silvia as his partner as he felt his connection with her was stronger.

Now that the show has wrapped up, Love is Blind Mexico contestant Alejandra revealed what she has been up to and what her future plans are. In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda, she also opened up about her experience on the show and how it helped her improve on a personal level.

The Netflix reality TV star is currently working on her upcoming EP and is open to appearing in other shows "mainly focused on music". For Caletti, falling in love with someone by "opening up her heart" motivated her to embark on a self-discovery journey. Mentioning the one major lesson she learned from Love is Blind Mexico, Caletti shared:

"I think being genuine is the best way to really connect with people and art as well. This taught me that for sure and also that love is not selfish, it wants you to be who you are, wants you to be happy. And I'm really really happy to have gone through this, even though it was hard, emotionally draining. But it turned out to be such a blessing."

Love is Blind Mexico star Alejandra shares about making friends, meeting Chema, and more

Q. What was your thought process behind joining Love is Blind Mexico?

I have actually been a fan of Love is Blind since it aired the first time. I think it was 2020 and I don't know something about it just seemed so appealing. But I never thought I would be one of the people that actually lived through the experiment.

Q. Did you make any friends on the Love is Blind Mexico? Are you still in contact with anyone?

I think one of the biggest blessings that came from the show was the friendships. I became really close not only with the cast members but, some of the crew members as well, which was such a blessing. I get along very well with all of the cast but there are certain people who I really enjoy being friends with, better than others.

Q. Would you like to change or add something in the Love is Blind Mexico format?

I guess it is part of the experiment that you shouldn't talk to people from the outside world but it would've been nice to be able to talk to a close friend and let them know how I was feeling.

The thing is you're falling in love with the same people that your girlfriends in the show are falling in love with. So it's very complicated to open up your heart to them.

Q. Is the emotional support aspect or seeking advice the main reason behind wanting this change?

I would say both because most of my friends know me very well. In that kind of situation, they would know what is best for me than new friends. Also, just the emotional support of a voice that is already known to you for several years is so comforting.

Q. Have you talked to Chema from Love is Blind Mexico?

When we met, it did feel a bit uncomfortable, which is understandable too because they (Chema and Silvia) were having their bachelorette party. I was invited to Silvia's birthday party, the reason I didn't go was because I didn't want it to be awkward or for her or to have a bad moment since it would've been the first time me and Chema would've met.

Q. Do you think a situation was misunderstood by the camera at some point?

I think the whole master's degree thing was exaggerated. The reason why it made me very annoyed was because it made it seem like I was willing to give up everything for this man which was not true.

That's not the kind of person that I would want to be and I wouldn't want other people to see that and be like "I should be giving up things for a man."

Q. Were you satisfied with how you were portrayed on Love is Blind Mexico?

I feel it was very honest to what was lived. Of course, it was so many hours of us speaking and connecting on such a deep level, and it's only a few minutes that people get to see. So it could seem like I was just falling for him for no apparent reason at some point, but we really opened up our hearts.

Q. Would you be willing to join Perfect Match if you get the chance? Do you think the Love is Blind Mexico format is better than Perfect Match?

It made me feel very exposed and I was very emotional so I wouldn't do a format as Love is Blind. I'm open to Perfect Match but at the moment I've found someone who is very special.

Right now, it wouldn't be something I would consider but I do like the format of Perfect Match, it seems so fun and just you know, more on a lighter tone than Love is Blind Mexico which is so much deeper.

Q. You mentioned you found someone special, will you share that part of your personal life on Instagram? Or do you plan on keeping it private after the Love is Blind Mexico experience?

I'm definitely open to that but I think I wanna keep it for myself for a few more months maybe. Just until everything is more calm because, to be honest rewatching everything, it was like reliving everything. I was feeling those emotions again, not for Chema but more of what the experiment was for me.

Q. What have you been up to since the filming wrapped up? Can you share something about your upcoming projects?

I took a bit of time out after the filming ended because it was just very important for me to understand what happened, and why I felt a certain way, just to be clear-minded about it. So, I did not do much after the show, in terms of music right now I do have a really special project, which is an EP coming up.

I've been working on this for quite a couple of months now, maybe even a year. I'm really excited to share it. Also, I would love to do another reality TV show but more focused on music.

That would be amazing. I feel like so far, this reality TV show was very important as well as an artist in terms of growing as a person. It made me see so many things that I had not worked on on a personal level.

Q. Do you think Love is Blind?

Yes, love is definitely blind. I did totally one hundred percent fall in love. And, I think when the soul speaks it's very clear to see everything even though you're not actually seeing the person.

So, now looking back it feels like such a self-improvement journey. I think you can always see the good in people when you have good in your heart. It made me realize how much love and how much kindness is in me.
