90 Day Fiancé is back with the seventh season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days as the new season premiered on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 8 pm ET on TLC. The show introduced eight new couples to reality TV fans who will meet for the first time to find out if their online matches can last in the real world.

The series will document the accounts of couples going through the process of moving forward with acquiring K-1 visas. It allows foreign fiances of US citizens to enter the country with the requirement to marry within a 90-day window.

One such couple featured on 90 Day Fiancé is Brian and Ingrid. Brian is a quadriplegic and was shown to lead an active lifestyle, dating multiple women in recent years. Brian also coaches wheelchair rugby around the world. Brian met Ingrid two years ago on an online dating site in Brazil but couldn't make the time to meet.

In the first episode, Brian gets escorted by his daughter, Brianna, to the airport as he is going to Brazil to meet Ingrid for the first time. During the car ride, Brianna shows concerns regarding her father's troubled dating history and wonders if the cycle of disappointment is going to continue during this visit as well.

"I'm used to my dad going to Brazil and become kind of like a family joke because we don't really know if he's gonna come back with a new person or be engaged. He moves fast, he falls hard," stated Brianna.

What happened to Brian on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days season 7 episode 1?

Brian is introduced in 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days as a 51-year-old cab driver from Harvad, Illinois. Brian expresses joy in getting out with his car and meeting new people every day because it helps him forget about his disability that left him in a wheelchair.

He explained that he wasn't born with the disability since birth. When Brian was 27, he was shot by a small-caliber handgun in the spinal cord leaving him a quadriplegic.

On 90 Day Fiancé, Brian also revealed that he hasn't seen a good relationship flourish in his house as he was raised by his mother mostly. Brianna was born from his first marriage when he tied the knot with his high school sweetheart at the age of 19. The couple divorced three years later, leaving Brianna in the care of Brian.

Revealing the harrowing events that took his legs, Brian shed some tears on the show as he felt helpless when it came to supporting his daughter.

He further revealed that two assailants were waiting for him outside his house and asked him to come out at gunpoint. Brian didn't fear the masked men as he was being carjacked and decided to retaliate which resulted in Brian being shot.

The events led Brian to represent the United States in wheelchair rugby and took up coaching jobs in Brazil. It's at this time he met Ingrid who is almost 20 years his junior and is a single parent like Brian.

Brian expressed his worries regarding meeting Ingrid for the first when she would be able to see the hardships Brian has to go through in day-to-day life.

Before leaving for Brazil, Brian even met his rugby friends and shared things that could go wrong as a quadriplegic. After a game, the friends gathered around the court and discussed Brian's upcoming trip.

Brian expressed that he did plan to get intimate with Ingrid, but revealed his fears of finishing as it could cause headaches, spasms in his hands, and even an aneurysm.
