“Finale will be epic”— The Masked Singer fans think boy band Boyz ll Men are behind Buffaloes mask

The semi-final episode 11 of The Masked Singer season 12 was released on December 11. The episode saw the top three contestants, i.e., Buffaloes, Wasp, and Strawberry Shortcake, performing to secure the coveted finale spot. Wasp was saved after his initial performance, which put Buffaloes and Strawberry Shortcake against each other in the Smack Royale.

Buffaloes outperformed Strawberry Shortcake and won the Smack Royale, advancing to the finals alongside Wasp. While Strawberry Shortcake was revealed to be AJ Michalka, fans of The Masked Singer came to X to guess who the Buffaloes were. Because they came in groups of three, the fans went looking for boy bands that had three members.

They narrowed their search down to the vocal group Boyz II Men, who are popularly known for their vocal harmony and their a cappella skills. The fans came to X to write down their collective guesses of Buffaloes being Boyz II Men. They also tagged the panelists to help them guess the contestants correctly ahead of the finale.

"Come Buffaloes...I just think a Mario and Boyz II Men finale will be epic lo," said one fan.

"#BuffaloMasks are most certainly Boys 2 Men. Wanya Morris' sons do sing together as tonight's clue stated. They're known as WanMor...if they sound anything like Boys 2 Men they're going to be awesome," said another.

"This bout to be one of the best finales.. Buffalos aka Boyz II Men and The Wasp aka Mario bout to sing their face-off," a third one added.

"Oh AJ I have loved you on here but you gotta go, I have a mission to make The Buffalo aka Boyz II Men the first trio to win," wrote one.

Some fans of The Masked Singer also wrote how they concluded Buffaloes to be Boyz II Men.

"Only reason why I thought those 3 Buffaloes are Boys II Men is because I googled 3 boys bands and they stood out more than 98 degrees and Jonas Brothers lol," added a third.

"Not a problem. I googled boys bands and only 3 popped up which is 98 degrees Jonas Brothers and on #TheMaskedSinger #TheMaskedSinger. Those 2 is not quite as dancers as the Buffaloes," another said.

"It's official. Whoever's behind the Buffaloes is definitely a boy band," commented one.

"Yesss Buffalo!!! They are taking this all the way home!!! I am telling you this is Boyz II Men. I’ve been listening to them sing for over 30 years. I know Wanya’s voice and those runs," another said.

Buffaloes performance, voiceover, and panelist guesses on The Masked Singer season 12 episode 11

For his semi-final performance on The Masked Singer season 12 episode 11, Buffaloes chose to sing Africa by Toto. This performance made Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg say that they were "GOATS dressed in Buffaloes." Then in the Smack Royale, they went for Counting Stars by One Republic alongside their opponent Strawberry Shortcake. They emerged victorious, sending Strawberry Shortcake, aka AJ Michalka, home.

In their The Masked Singer voiceover, Buffaloes said that they were doing everything for their kids and wanted to inspire others to stay true to themselves. They said:

"Staying true to ourselves was the main reason for our success. We now know that was an important example to set for the next generation. And especially our children."

They also revealed that their children loved to sing as well. This made Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg guess them to be Boyz II Men too, while Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke thought they were Colour Me Badd and After 7. Rita Ora didn't show up in this episode because she was sick, so she wasn't a part of the guessing.
