"Flush out her power"- Big Brother fans want to see Makensy nominated so she can use America's Veto

Episode 9 of season 26 of Big Brother was released on Sunday, August 4, and with it started week 3 of the season. Cedric Hodges won the HOH competition, securing the coveted spot, and put Kenney Kelley, Angela Murray, and Tucker Des Lauriers up for eviction, repeating nominations from last week.

Makensy Manbeck aka MJ, has a secret power, America's Veto, which she can use if she is up for an elimination and senses danger. She has kept the secret guarded with only a few in the house aware of it.

With Cedric winning the HOH this week, Makensy told him about the power, which Cedric promised not to abuse and said he wouldn't share it with anyone. However, fans of the show think differently. They want Cedric to put Makensy up for eviction so she is forced to use the power.

In the recent episode, Cedric said he didn't put Makensy up because he was scared she wouldn't use her power out of trust. Fans of Big Brother took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their views on the same. One fan said:

"Why not put Makensy up? Flush out her power, & America’s vote won’t matter, ‘cause Kenney wants to quit. Easy peasy."

"So yall just gon let Makensy skate to week whatever because she has a power? If yall don’t put her up and make her use it, I will scream," one person said.

"We all know Quinn is going to be HoH next week and MJ still has her Veto because nobody wants to make a play," one X user wrote.

"This big brother season makes me so mad he had a perfect chance to nominate MJ and stir up the house by making her use her power up ughhh so frustrating," another X user wrote.

Several Big Brother fans thought that MJ was saying the "right things" to Cedric for him to not nominate her. She asked him to concentrate on other houseguests with secret powers instead of her. Cedric bought it and kept her safe from eviction. Some fans think he might renominate her when it's time for him to find a replacement. One fan said:

"So we agree if MJ uses her power next week instead we’re voting to put Cedric on the block? Unlike Chelsie whose nominations were validated by her great strategic game/positioning, Cedric is playing scared. He can go be a bore at home instead."

"Awwww Cedric your stupidity is showing, do you really think mj is going to trust all yall to not vote her out if you happen to change your mind, god these recruits are so bad!" another person said.

"Okay BB Twitter unless Cedric backs down it looks like Makensy might be the renom. Let's come to a consensus on who we are voting for before the vote happens so the casuals don't ruin it," one X user said.

"Tucker seems to be the smartest guy here. Put MJ up make her use her power and if you trust the alliance he has the numbers to stay even if she put him up next week as an HoH," another person said.

Nominations on Big Brother season 26 episode 9

After Cedric won the Head of Household competition in episode 9 of Big Brother, he decided to go with the nominations from the last week. Namely, Angela, Tucker, and Kenney.

He nominated Angela because she said he could use her as a pawn if needed. She asked him to put her up first so she gets two chances to save herself - The Power of Veto and AI Arena.

He put Kenney because he too told him he was okay to get voted out because he missed his family. He went for Tucker because he believed Tucker could save himself, just as Chelsie, the ex-HOH, thought.
