“Fly high”- The Voice fans praise Snoop Dog for pressing the replay button on Gail Bliss

The Voice season 26 Blind Auditions part 2 was released on September 30, 2024. The season has Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé as the new judges who have joined returning judges Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire. The Voice season 26 also has a new feature for the coaches—a replay button. This allows the judges to take a contestant in their team if they didn't turn their chair for the singer but wanted to.

Gail Bliss, a 61-year-old country singer, impressed all four judges with her performance on If It Hadn't Been For Love by The SteelDrivers. However, none of them turned their chairs for her. After her performance, Snoop thought that she deserved a spot on the contestant panel and pressed the replay button, getting her on his team.

Fans of The Voice who watched the episode were impressed with Snoop Dogg's decision to press the replay button and have Gail on his team. They took to social media to praise him because they thought Gail was worthy of going ahead.

"WHOO HOO! Snoop to the rescue! LOVE that she said she was going to be a sponge with Snoop as her Coach. Fly high Gail Bliss!" said one fan.

Many said that the rapper couldn't have been "any cooler," but he "outdid himself," as others stated that the rapper "gets it."

"Omg if Snoop couldn’t be any cooler he just outdid himself he is the best," said another.

"Snoop Dog gets it. He just gets what this show is," a third one added.

"Yay to Snoop and to Gail!! I was crying! So happy to have the sixties inspiration on this season of #TheVoice," another wrote.

Other fans of The Voice praised Gail's performance and voice, as others commended Snoop for recognizing her talent. Fans also pointed out that they thought Reba would be the one to turn her chair for Gail since they were both country singers.

The replay button and Gail's performance on episode 2 of The Voice season 26

The replay button, or the Coach Replay Button, was introduced as the newest feature on The Voice. It allows a mentor to pick a contestant if they regret not turning the chair around for the contestant while they were performing.

However, each judge gets only one Coach Replay Button, which, if exhausted, cannot be redeemed. Snoop used the power of the button in Blind Auditions' second part, pressing it for Gail Bliss after none of the other judges took her.

Gail was officially the oldest contestant in the competition, and although none of the judges turned their chairs for her, they couldn't stop praising her. Gwen appreciated her vibrato and the way she yodeled, while Reba acknowledged her age and said she had come to "kick b*tt."

Snoop Dogg seemingly was upset after her performance because he didn't turn his chair for her and his using the replay button didn't surprise many fans. They praised Snoop for taking the step because it meant that they would get to see more of Gail.

Since none of the other judges turned their chairs or used the replay button, Gail automatically went to Snoop's team.
