"Fumble of the century": Too Hot To Handle fans react to Joao for breaking up with Flavia

Too Hot To Handle season 6 aired three more episodes on Friday, August 2, 2024. The latest installment of episodes- 8, 9, and 10, marked the end of the season as Bri and Demari were crowned as the winners in episode 10.

While the episode ended on a celebratory note, it didn't start out the same way for one particular couple. Joao and Flavia's conversation during their date was left on a cliffhanger at the end of episode 9. The two went on a date where Joao sang a song for her and much to Flavia's surprise, it was a breakup song.

Fans of the show took to social media to chime in on the same and criticized Joao's decision to break up with Flavia. They zeroed in on the method he chose and slammed him for the breakup song. One person wrote on X:

Too Hot To Handle season 6 fans called Joao an "idiot" for breaking up with Flavia:

Joao breaks up with Flavia with a song in Too Hot To Handle season 6

In Too Hot To Handle season 6 episode 9, Flavia and Joao went on a date after being at odds due to the female cast member's flirtatious interaction with newcomer Jalen.

Despite being conflicted about what he wanted to do, Joao was having a good time until Flavia brought up the "Jalen situation." The latter addressed the situation and said that it felt like a "real test" that she had to go through to be sure about her feelings towards Joao.

"I'm not going to lie. That did hurt me a lot. It did put a lot of doubts in my mind," Joao said.

In a confessional, Joao stated that Flavia talking about Jalen was a "wake-up" call and further told her how it made him feel. The Too Hot To Handle season 6 star stated that it made him feel unworthy of respect since she knew how much Joao liked her.

He asked her if he would play her a song, noting that it fit the situation. The song asked whether their time was up and after it ended, Flavia said she also had the same question. The Too Hot To Handle season 6 male participant said:

"You know, I really do like you. But...I'm not going to lie. I was so upset about what happened with Jalen and I really can't shake the worry I have about "how is this going to go on the outside?" I'm sorry. It is what it is," Joao said.
