The Circle season 7 introduced viewers to a social media competition in which players have the option to either participate as themselves or as a catfish. Competing for the final grand prize of $100,000, all cast members must engage with each other in private or group chats.
Each one of them forms alliances in the game to become the top influencer, who has the ability to block one of the contestants and send them home. In episode 4, Kevin and Gianna blocked Savannah who had an alliance with Kevin.
This affected Kevin's image among other cast members, who struggled to trust him again. When Madelyn checked up on Kevin and invited him to a private chat for a trio alliance, Kevin felt it was a "game changer" for him. He realized that Madelyn wasn't siding with Rachel and Gianna, which was a positive sign for him. Kevin said:

On The Circle season 7 episode 4, Madelyn shared why she chose to form an alliance with Kevin. As fans already know most girls on the show were against Kevin after Savannah went home. For Madelyn, this was an opportunity to get on Kevin's good side and invite him to form a trio alliance alongside Andy.
She said she didn't want to flirt with him and called Kevin, Andy's best man. Madelyn considered Andy her circle husband and wanted both him and Kevin to be by her side. The Circle cast member further explained:
"I feel like Kevin was an influencer last night and also a lot of the girls are kind of fighting with Kevin right now. So I need to take this opportunity to get Kevin on my side. But I don't think I'm gonna try to flirt."
During her conversation with Kevin, the 25-year-old Georgia resident clarified that she "had his back" and expected the same from him. Kevin agreed to join their trio alliance and assured him he was on her side. Madelyn said:
"I wanna let him know that I have his back."
Meanwhile, Kevin was glad he now had two people on his side despite the majority being against him. He wanted to appear a trustworthy and likable player in front of his competitors, to secure his position in the game. He said:
"Truthfully I need as many people on my side as possible."
Later in the episode, both of them connected on how much they miss their families. Madelyn opened up about her personality and how people perceive her as a "party girl," when she actually is a "sensitive person." Kevin could relate to what she meant, he also shared how much his family means to him.
