The Voice season 26 aired Battles Part 5 on Monday, November 4, 2024. In the segment, the coaches paired members of their teams up one last time as they picked which of the remaining contestants would make it to the Knockout rounds, which will start next week.
The first performance of the night saw Michael Bublé pair up J. Paul and Kamla Kiehne from Team Bublé as they sang Toxic by Britney Spears. Ahead of the performance, the coach said he picked the song he picked but fans online disagreed. One person wrote on X:
"what the hell did I just hear on #thevoice? That was something else... to be fair, they both sucked but i also fault @MichaelBuble for a garbage song choice. that is NOT a duet song... it was also just bad. neither of them were equipped for that song. am i really the only one???"

Chiming in on the duet in general, fans stated:

Team Bublé sends J. Paul against Kamila Kiehne in The Voice season 26 Battles Part 5
During The Voice season 26 episode 11, Kamila Kiehne and J. Paul from Team Bublé were paired together to perform a rendition of Britney Spears' Toxic.
Ahead of the performance, the season 26 coach noted the song was his choice. The rendition was different than Britney Spear's original version and earned praise from the coaches. Snoop Dogg gave the two a standing ovation as he said the song ended too early as he had just "got out" of his seat.
"Man, that was a real presentation right there. Got me to stand up. You know what I'm talking about?" Snoop Dogg said.
The Voice season 26 coach praised the performance and Kamila and J. Paul's teamwork. The famed rapper said the singers had a routine and "dance steps." He further complimented Kamila's range and depth considering she was 17 years old and said she sounded amazing and performed at a "high level."
Snoop asked J. Paul if he ever sang in a church, and The Voice season 26 singer revealed he grew up singing in a church. He added that he was a "pastor's kid." The Voice season 26 coach stated that he felt the song put "handcuffs" on him and he couldn't go where he wanted to but that he heard "the Lord in there."
Reba McEntire praised Kamila's confidence, complimented J. Paul's range, and called him "terrific." The coach stated if she had to pick one, she would pick Kamila. Gwen Stefani also praised Kamila and said she had an "incredible" voice. She further told J. Paul his voice was "insane." She said if she had to pick she would pick J. Paul as the winner.
Michael Bublé stated he felt like a "proud dad" and praised both the singers from his team. Ultimately, the coach picked J. Paul, ending Kamila's journey on The Voice season 26.
Fans reacted to the performance online and were critical of Michael Bublé's song choice for J. Paul and Kamila Kiehne's performance.
The Voice season 26 will start the Knockouts next week on November 11, 2024, on NBC.
