Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 released episode 13, titled Vow or Never, on January 25, 2025. It saw Ken confront his partner, Tricia, about her equations with Martell and ex-partner, Marques. Ken accused her of deceiving him by evading or deflecting questions about them. Meanwhile, Tricia criticized him for being invested in her past relationships.
"There has been some tension between Ken and I regarding Martell and Marques. I don't wanna be walking on eggshells in my own house when I've done that for so long in a marriage," Tricia said.
Ken pointed out how Tricia avoided accountability when he questioned her about the text message she had sent to Marques, saying she would take him back in a "heartbeat." He then accused Tricia of lying about her private meeting with Martell at his house and about how they met.
The allegations did not sit well with Tricia, who became defensive, criticizing Ken for hanging up on Martell and Marques. Ken then clarified that his issue was not with either of the men but with Tricia, wondering why she was unwilling to have an honest and upfront conversation with him. One thing led to another, and Ken left the argument midway.
Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans took to X to comment on Tricia and Ken's argument. While many disapproved of Tricia's demeanor during the discussion, others wondered why Ken hadn't broken up with her.
"Tricia is a hot mess and guilty about something, she gaslighting this man and deflecting," a fan wrote.
"Tricia is not emotionally mature enough for Ken. This lady is a liar!" another fan commented.
"Ken needs to run and run fast .. Tricia ain’t the one she wants her family back together so bad it’s painful to watch," a netizen tweeted.
Many Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans criticized Tricia for not taking accountability for her actions.
"Can we jus call it what it is Tricia is liar, and Ken jus needs to leave her where he found her. She is for the streets and jus as crazy as her ex," a user reacted.
"Tricia been gaslighting and lying this whole season. And Ken was with the shits too. No sympathy for him now," a person commented.
"Trish is terrible and is trying to gaslight Ken…Run Ken!!!" another fan wrote.
"Trisha and those crazy eyes, I knew this demure presentation and that super quiet voice was bs. Finally we get to see Shady Trish who obviously still loves her loser husband. Ken should have left after he read that text," one user posted.
Other Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans expressed a similar sentiment.
"Tricia is literally smirking in Ken's face while making him look crazy. This here is too much," a person reacted.
"Seems like Tricia lies, has a mean streak, DOESN'T LISTEN, and lacks accountability. You can't have a conversation with her," another netizen commented.
"I'm done with this conversation" — Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Ken storms out of the house
Ken pulled Tricia aside for a conversation, hoping to resolve their past conflicts and learn more about one another. He then brought up the situations with Marques and Martell, asking Tricia why she hadn't been honest about them. While talking about Marques, Ken recalled Tricia claiming not to remember texting Marques, wondering why she deceived him.
Similarly, the Love & Marriage: Huntsville star asked Tricia why she had lied about meeting Martell in private. Since Ken was not in a relationship with her then, he could not understand why Tricia had to be dishonest about her one-on-one meeting with Martell.
Meanwhile, Tricia wondered why Ken was so invested in Martell and Marques, criticizing him for letting them "live rent-free" in their house. When she disapproved of Ken's "accusations," he explained that those were questions, not "accusations" since he wanted to know the truth behind her past relationships.
He also clarified that he was neither "insecure" nor "bothered" by the men like Tricia was projecting him to be.
When Ken asked Tricia about the Martell situation another time, she deflected the conversation by questioning Ken's interest. At that point, the Love & Marriage: Huntsville star lost his calm and said:
"Bro, I'm done with this conversation. I'm not doing this. I don't wanna do it."
He then exclaimed that Tricia was the "f***ing problem," further accusing her of lying about who paid for her cars and other household necessities. Frustrated by their conversation, Ken stormed out of the house.
