Love is Blind: Habibi aired its reunion special this week on November 1, 2024, and saw the cast return to the sets of the social experiment. The segment saw the final three couples reveal their current relationship status. Mohommad and Safa were still married while Chafic and Dounia were still together and planning on tying the knot in the future. However, the same could not be said for Khatab and Asma.

The former couple revealed that they stayed together for almost two months after wrapping up the show but Khatab's demanding job caused an issue as he felt he was unable to give his fiancée the attention she wanted.

Fans of the show reacted to their breakup online and were upset to discover that the couple was no longer together. One person wrote on X:

During Love is Blind: Habibi reunion, Asma and Khatab went over their journeys. Khatab revealed that although Asma was his "number one" things changed when they returned to the "real world" and faced real-life situations.

The male cast member stated he had informed Asma from the beginning of Love is Blind: Habibi that he wanted someone who could align with his life since his profession required him to work from 6 am to 3 am.

Asma added that there was more to their story and said that while she understood Khatab's perspective, she wanted someone who could be there for her emotionally and physically but the couple couldn't find a "middle ground."

The Love is Blind: Habibi stars were asked about Asma's decision to say "No" at the altar. The hosts asked whether her rejection affected him and Khatab said when he was standing in front of him, he was "80%" sure she would say no because her family was absent from the wedding.

He added he was worried Asma might say yes because if she had agreed without her parents, it would have been a problem.

"Because customs and traditions are very important to me," Khatab said.

He added that if the Love is Blind: Habibi star had "Yes," he would have had to hurt her feelings by saying "No."
