“Get outta there” — Love After Lockup fans ask Troy to run away from Zeruiah

Love After Lockup season 5 dropped episode 39 on WeTV on September 19, 2024. The latest segment saw the popular couple, Zeruiah and Troy, continue their fight started in the previous episode.

In the last episode, Zeruiah was mad at Troy's mother, Karen, for bringing up her cheating scandal to Yona, Troy's ex-partner. Zeruiah slept with another man when Troy was in prison; she was apologetic about it and had sorted it out with him a long time ago. So when Karen brought the topic up with Yona, Zeruiah lost it. She threw her engagement ring out and asked Troy and Karen to leave her house.

In episode 39, Troy tried getting Zeruiah to wear the ring and apologized in an attempt to calm things. When she eventually settled down, she agreed to accompany Troy to Buffalo to meet his daughter (whom he shares with Yona). Initially, she wasn't ready to go there because she didn't want to see Yona.

Fans of Love After Lockup flocked to X to discuss inconsistencies in Zeruiah's behaviour toward Troy and asked him to leave her. Some believed she was the type of person who could cause Troy to go back to prison.

Troy, you need to pawn that ring and get outta there," one fan wrote.

"Troy son run this broad gonna get you locked up again!" another user said.

"Oh my goodness Zeuriah is exhausting afffff! Either go or don’t go! Troy need to run far away from this weirdo," an X user commented.

"Troy you need to run as fast as you can. She is fri—ng psychotic," another user wrote.

Some Love After Lockup fans thought the fact, that Zeruiah wasn't okay with Troy being a father to his daughter with Yona but wanted him to be a parent to her child, was unfair.

"So Zeruiah wants Troy to raise her son but not his own biological daughter. Troy needs to run," a comment read.

"How you create an issue then play the victim. Fam, let’s go rescue Troy. These 4 days seem like four months. She’s a mess internally and externally," a third fan wrote.

"I wish the best for Troy I just wish he leave Zeruiah because she will cause him to get in trouble," wrote another.

What went down with Troy and Zeruiah on episode 39 of Love After Lockup season 5?

After the fight in the previous episode of Love After Lockup, Troy tried convincing Zeruiah to take the ring back. He took to a confessional and said he didn't know his wife could get so angry at him. He then talked things out with Zeruiah. He apologized for leaving the house and not being there when his mom was being unfair to her by discussing Zeruiah's past with his baby's mother.

Zeruiah changed her decision and agreed to go to Buffalo with Troy and his mom to see his daughter. She said she changed her mind because Yona and the rest of Troy's family were going to be there and she wanted to show them they were strong as a couple.

When she met with Troy's sister, Jackie, the latter spoke about how emotional it was for her to see her brother released from prison. Zeruiah went into a confessional and said that it was heartwarming to be there. She added that she didn't know what to think of Yona's intentions though because of her recent chats with Karen.
