Big Brother season 26 aired the first part of its premiere episode on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, with the second half set to be aired on Thursday, July 18, 2024. The host, Julie Chen Moonves, welcomed the first eight contestants to the house in the episode. The next eight will enter the house on Thursday.

The show's new season promises challenging and thrilling tasks for its contestants as they go against each other to win the grand prize of $750,000. Additionally, the contestant who wins the title of America's Favorite Houseguest will go home with $50,000.

Eight contestants, including Tucker, Kimo, Angela, Chelsie, Cam, Makensy, Joseph, and Rubina, entered the Big Brother house on the first premiere night. After a surprising vote, they were introduced to Ainsley, the 17th contestant, and the BB AI. Four of the eight contestants then participated in a Color Calibration Challenge, where they had to sit in a high-speed spinning chair.

While Makensy won the challenge, 50-year-old real estate agent Angela Murray impressed the viewers with her hilarious and fun-loving personality. During the challenge, she entertained Big Brother fans with her attempt to tackle the high-speed spin chair. Her maternal personality appealed to many viewers of the CBS show.

Big Brother cast member Angela believes she will win because she is a "people person"

Angela believes that she has the potential to win the show because she can read people's faces and understand if they were scheming or plotting behind her back. During an interview with Parade, published on July 16, 2024, she said she was going to win Big Brother season 26 because she was a "people person."

Angela has reportedly been a long-time fan of the show and has applied multiple times to be cast in it. Getting cast on the show is the first step of her winning it and she is determined to do whatever it takes to reach the finish line.

However, fans of Big Brother were drawn to the 50-year-old due to her outgoing personality and the way she described herself.

"So, I'm a party girl. I'm a fun mom. I'm a cool mom, cool nana, and I'm optimistic all the time," Angela told Parade.

In the premiere episode, the first eight contenders were asked to vote for or against the entry of the show's seventeenth member. The votes were equally split between the two parties, resulting in the cancellation of Ainsley's entry. Angela was among the ones who voted "yes." She, Makensy, Joseph, and Rubina competed in Color Calibration to earn the game upgrade.

However, not everyone could focus and memorize the color sequence while spinning on the chair. Viewers found it hilarious when the cast member grabbed the chair and appeared to be on the verge of fainting due to its speed. She eventually got up and because she couldn't maintain her balance, she unknowingly hit the incorrect color first.

Ahead of the challenge, while the contestants toured the house, Angela shrieked with excitement whenever she saw a new room. In the Parade interview, the Big Brother cast member said she wanted to enjoy the "social aspect" of the experience, as it seemed like a "slumber party" to her.

However, she also mentioned that she would be cutthroat when needed and would not hesitate to use manipulative skills to her advantage. She added that she was on the show to "win the money."
