Love Island Australia released episode 19 on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. The episode saw Zane reunite with his current partner, Kaylah, at the recoupling ceremony after returning from Hotel Amor. Sophie, who accompanied him to Hotel Amor, felt blindsided by Zane's decision because she believed he would choose her after they got intimate at the hotel.

The superfans had paired Sophie with Zane, her ex, for Hotel Amor to see if they would spark a romance. The islanders gave in to their temptations and got physical, causing Sophie's hopes to soar. She felt even more confident in her connection with Zane when he confessed he was more inclined toward her than Kaylah.

However, the recoupling ceremony told a different story. Later in the episode, Sophie approached Zane and asked if he had started liking Kaylah, to which he replied no. However, at the same time, he mentioned he would not pick Sophie even if she were single. Zane admitted he was confused and did not know what to do.

Love Island Australia fans took to X to comment on Zane and Sophie's fallout. They criticized Sophie for falling for Zane's antics and keeping expectations from him. In contrast, other netizens sympathized with Dylan, Sophie's partner, saying he deserved better than her.

The Love Island Australia cast member revealed that he told Kaylah about his connection with Sophie but did not know how to proceed from there. He admitted he was too confused about his feelings. However, Sophie wanted a concrete answer from Zane because she did not want to jeopardize her connection with Dylan or make him feel blindsided.

When Sophie said it looked like Zane was still waiting for a 'bombshell' to enter the villa, Zane listened silently.
