"Girl please stop"— Summer House season 8 fans criticize Amanda for defending Carl Radke

Summer House season 8 aired its season finale, Point of No Return, on Thursday, May 30, 2024. During the segment, fans saw the female cast rally around Lindsay Hubbard after Carl Radke broke up with her. While Gabby felt Carl was in the wrong, Amanda defended the cast member before Lindsay's arrival.

The former couple's problems and conflicts were heavily featured in season 8 and fans of the show took to social media to chime in on the situation. While they criticized Carl for "blindsiding" Lindsay, they also criticized Amanda for defending Carl while in conversation with the female cast members of the Bravo show.

"Amanda being a Carl apologist…girl please stop. #summerhouse," one person wrote on X.

Summer House season 8 fans felt that Amanda should be the "last" person to give relationship advice:

Summer House season 8 fans chimed in on Amanda and Gabby's discussion about Carl and believed the latter was right:

"Amanda is always wrong just like her situation ain’t great either. I get that she has a probably stronger relationship with Carl but I think she could agree it was wrong how it ended. She was doing a bit much with Gabby in the back and forth #SummerHouse," a fan wrote.

Gabby and Amanda at odds about Carl and Lindsay's breakup in Summer House season 8 finale

In Summer House season 8's finale episode, the female cast discussed the breakup while waiting for Lindsay to arrive. During the segment, Paige informed Danielle, Gabby, and Amanda that she spoke to Carl to check in on him and he told her he didn't call production to film the breakup specifically.

Amanda and Paige said they felt bad for "both of them." However, Gabby had a different point of view. When asked about it, she said Carl knew what "he was doing."

Gabby added that the Summer House season 8 cast member said "some really f*cked up sh*t" recently and Amanda interjected that both Lindsay and Carl spoke negatively about one another.

"I hear it from both sides and I don't think we can point fingers to be like 'You're the bad guy or you're the bad guy.' Because we all witnessed everything that went down all summer."

Amanda added that they needed to look at their "whole relationship" and said there was "so much more to it." Gabby said she wasn't denying that Carl shouldn't have broken up with Lindsay, but it was "f*cked up" of him not to talk to her about it.

Amanda told the Summer House season 8 cast member that Carl was giving Lindsay "space" but Gabby disagreed.

After the episode aired, fans of the show defended Lindsay and praised Gabby for sticking up for her. They didn't like Amanda sticking up for Carl when the cast had gathered to offer support to Lindsay.

Summer House season 8 will return next week with part one of the reunion special on Bravo.
