Claim to Fame season 3 released its latest episode on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. The show started with 11 contestants and by episode 6, only four remained. As the competition headed towards its finale, the remaining contestants battled it out to secure victory and walk away with the $100,000 prize.

The latest episode featured Danny's elimination. After he failed to win the yarn trivia challenge, the cast members voted him to be the guesser. He guessed singer-songwriter Blake Shelton to be Mackenzie's celebrity relative. However, Mackenzie revealed his assumption was incorrect and as a result, he was sent packing.

Danny's celebrity relative's identity was revealed before his exit. Claim to Fame cast members were not surprised to discover Danny was related to singer Marc Anthony. Fans of the show took to X to react to his eviction and the revelation of his relative.

Claim to Fame fans were unimpressed by the guess Danny made for Mackenzie. They wondered how he missed it since the clue was hidden in Mackenzie's name.

How is Claim to Fame season 3 star Danny related to Marc Anthony?

After Danny incorrectly guessed Mackenzie's celebrity relative, he revealed his real name was Nael Zayas and that he was the nephew of Grammy-winning singer Marc Anthony.

The Claim to Fame cast members had Danny's relative figured out in the previous week but Dedrick's decision to eliminate Adam instead of Danny backfired and sent him packing. In week 5, Adam and Hud used Danny's wine clues: a man on fire, veni vidi vici, a microphone in a star, an owl that said "who," people falling, and a low letter J to decipher his relative's identity.

They put the pieces together and figured out it was the "superstar singer who fell for JLo," Marc Anthony. In an exclusive interview with People, published on August 14, 2024, Danny confessed he was unaware that the cast members had figured out his celebrity relative and were planning on sending him home the previous week.

He added that Marc was "super supportive" of him doing the show. While speaking about him, Danny said:

"I always look up to him as a figure to just try and mold myself after [him]. He's made so much progress in life and [achieved] legendary status. It's definitely something to be in awe of. It's really just super inspiring and something that I just wish I can be one day."
