The Voice season 26 episode 2, i.e. Blind Auditions Part 2, was released on Monday, September 30. The second episode saw many incredible performances and moments, from a 61-year-old performer to a trio's group performance.
The trio was a band called 323, which consisted of Jacob, Kinsley, and Jonathan. Their performance on Britney Spears' (You Drive Me) Crazy struck two of the four coaches, namely, Reba McEntire and Michael Bublé. They eventually picked Reba McEntire.
Not all fans of The Voice were pleased with their performance. Like the coaches, the viewers were also divided by their performance and skill. Many took to X to express their dislike for the group, while others came to show support and shower compliments.
"THIS GROUP ISNT GOOD ENOUGH FOR TWO CHAIR TURN???" said one fan.
"323 . . . . They were good, but not great. They didn't have the wow factor for me," said another.
"There’s a lot of body language going on here with Coach Snoop. I think he was trying to find something to like with this group and couldn’t. wise choice," another added.
"NO GROUPS. Sorry but groups are not fair because typically they can harmonize. How is that far when they get to battle one person?" said one more fan.
Some The Voice fans also rooted for the trio and came to X to express love for their skill and support them.
"323, a trio, Like the opening harmony into solos and duets, nice variety. Interesting arrangement that gave each a little time to shine. Pretty good," an X user said.
"That was an incredible performance by 323," another X user commented.
"Omg, they’re like the new Pentatonix! #323," wrote one fan.
"323 rocks!" said another.
The trio 323's performance on Blind Auditions Part 2 of The Voice season 26 episode 2
323's performance was among many other power-packed performances on episode 2 of The Voice Blind Auditions Part 2. But they were memorable because they were three and because of their choice of song.
Jonathan, Kinsley, and Jacob hail from Tallahassee, Florida. The three friends met in church and decided to form a band. Their choice of genre was pop/country and they chose to sing their own rendition of Britney Spears' (You Drive Me) Crazy for their debut performance on the show.
Reba McEntire was the first one to turn for the trio, and viewers were led to believe that she would be the one to bag them until Michael Bublé turned his chair at the very last moment.
Reba said she turned because they reminded her of the days when she was a part of a singing group. She also found their harmonies "tight". Adding to this, Michael said their harmonies indeed made a beautiful sound. Reba then added that she wanted to sing with them.
After their soulful performance, and praises from both their chair-turning judges, the trio had to make the difficult decision. They chose to go with the Country music queen, Reba McEntire.
