Big Brother season 26 aired a brand new episode this week on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. During the segment, Week 7 events were played out, which fans had already witnessed on Live Feeds.
The segment saw Leah Peters win the Power of Veto. Ahead of the PoV meeting, during which the cast member had to reveal who she'd like to remove from the block, HoH Quinn Martin talked to her about her options. The cast member's main target was Angela, and he didn't want her to be safe, but despite all his attempts, Leah saved the female cast member.
Chiming in on the situation online, fans of the CBS show praised Leah for playing her own game and not letting Quinn influence her decision. One person wrote on X:
"Quinn worked tirelessly to dissuade Leah from using POV to save Angela. He pressured her and I was convinced he'd won at making her too afraid to use it. Good for Leah."
"Leah realized that saving Angela was best for HER game & not for Quinn. And I totally respect that move, play for your game," a fan commented.
"Production, Angela & Leah conspiring against Quinn & Joseph. I loveeeee it," a tweet read.
Big Brother season 26 fans chimed in on Leah's strategy:
"Watch out now, Leah is slowly building her army/alliance. First, she got the three blind mice that will follow her anywhere, Joseph, Cam and Quinn. Second, she got her girl Angela, only thing left to do is bring in MJ. Don’t underestimate Leah," a person wrote.
"I really wanted Angela to go home, but I can't even be mad at Leah for taking her one opportunity to do something meaningful. It really is Quinn's fault for making Angela one of the 3 original noms and not making her the renom. You think he woulda learned after Cedric," a fan commented.
"Leah is playing a very good game & this edit really just made it clear. She’s protected by Quinn, Joseph, & Angela & with these 3 under her influence, they kind of make a 4-way voting block," a tweet read.
Big Brother season 26 fans chimed in on Quinn pleading with Leah not to save Angela:
"Quinn acting like America would find it surprising he begged Leah not to use the veto like he doesn’t beg her for just one compliment at least three times a day lmaoo," a person wrote.
"The funny thing is in all of Quinn's begging, pleading and groveling... He didn't off Leah anything in return? Just complimented her, told her she'd be a target if she used it, and begged. No promises of safety, no deals. Like sir...," a fan commented.
What happened in Big Brother season 26's latest Veto meeting?
In Big Brother season 26 week 7, after winning HoH, Quinn Martin nominated Angela, Kimo, and Rubina to be evicted from the CBS show. As part of the show's format, the cast members competed in a Veto competition, during which Leah emerged victorious, and in episode 23, had the power to save one of Quinn's nominees.
Ahead of the Veto meeting, Quinn reasoned with Leah about why she shouldn't save Angela. After considering everyone's perspective, Leah revealed her decision during the meeting.
"I have decided to use the Power of Veto on Angela. I'm really sorry Quinn I have to prioritize what's best for my game and I want to use it the way I want to use it," Leah said.
The Big Brother season 26 star's decision blindsided Quinn, who nominated Joseph. He explained he couldn't nominate the other cast members since they were a part of his plan to eliminate Tucker the previous week.
Fans of the show took to social media to react to the segment and applauded Leah for playing her own game.
Tune in on Thursday, September 5, 2024, to watch who gets evicted from Big Brother season 26 in Week 7 on CBS.
