Love is Blind returned to Netflix with season 7 on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Eligible bachelors and bachelorettes participated in the one-of-a-kind experiment to find their life partner, sight unseen. The format of the show allows the singles to interact with one another without the fear of getting judged by their appearances.
While some cast members found themselves caught up in complicated connections with multiple people, others recognized their ideal partners early in the show. One such pair was Tyler and Ashley A. After their first conversation in episode 1, the duo connected instantaneously.

Love is Blind star Tyler gets emotional after seeing Ashley A. for the first time
Tyler and Ashley A.'s journey started in the first episode of Love is Blind season 7. During their first conversation, Ashley A. could sense Tyler's nervousness in his voice. It helped her realize that Tyler was not one to hide his emotions. While speaking to the cameras, she said:
"Tyler, something about him being nervous that was attractive. I just think it's attractive when guys can be vulnerable and be themselves."
Later in the episode, Tyler opened up about his difficult childhood, growing up with a mother, ostracized by family members for marrying outside her race.
In episode 2, the Love is Blind cast member professed love to Ashley A., vowing to have her back and love her throughout life. He also wrote a prayer for her, which Ashley A. got emotional hearing.
In episode 3, Ashley A. got balloons and a cheesecake for Tyler's birthday. She then expressed her emotions by reading from a heartfelt letter.
"Tyler, I love you for everything that you are. For how you make me feel loved and soft. What I feel for you is so raw and intense. I don't wanna overthink it or question it for another second. I wanna take a leap of faith and jump in with both feet with you," Ashley A. said.
Ashley A.'s words moved Tyler to tears. He ultimately went down on one knee and asked the female cast member to be his wife. She gladly accepted the proposal.
Tyler looked forward to meeting Ashley A., who never judged him for wearing his heart on the sleeve. He could not restrain his tears when he saw her during their engagement ceremony. He re-proposed to her and put a ring on her finger.
