Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 aired a brand new episode this week on Monday, August 11, 2024. During the segment, the crew welcomed another primary guest and their friends onto the boat, but not everything went so smoothly.

During dinner, one of the chartered guests and Aesha Scott had a disagreement when the guest confused a fish knife with a butter knife. When the chief stew explained that it was a fish knife used for caviar, the guest stated that the crew's service "s*cks."

Several other atypical incidents, such as the guests asking the chief stew to move the furniture since she didn't like the way it looked, led to Captain Sandy stepping in to address the situation. She was upset about the way they were treating the staff and let the primary guest know that she would cancel the upcoming charter if the behavior continued.

Fans of the show took to social media to react to the segment and praised Captain Sany Yawn for standing up for the Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 crew. One person wrote on X:

"Captain Sandy standing up for her crew and giving a subtle threat that she’ll kick them off the boat if bad behavior continues is great boss behavior #BelowDeckMed #BelowDeck"
"dude i love captain sandy. that was so amazing #Belowdeckmed these are the worst guests this season," a fan commented.

"The guests choking on shame while Capt. Sandy is giving them a pep talk about how to speak to her crew with respect and decency: #BelowDeck #BelowDeckMed," a fan commented.
"Sandy is making it WORSE by lecturing the charter guests the way she is #BelowDeckMed," a tweet read.

Season 9 fans reacted to the guests' general behavior while on the yacht:

"These guests are absolute dumpster juice. B*tch doesn’t know her silverware and has the audacity to come for Aesha?! No ma’am! #BelowDeckMed #BelowDeck," a person wrote.
"These charter guests are pretty high maintenance for a short (cheaper) trip #BelowDeckMed #BelowDeck," a fan commented.

Captain Sandy defends the Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 crew in latest episode

In Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, episode 11, a new group of guests came aboard for a short trip as they only stayed one night. However, things quickly turned sour as one of the guests had an unusual request. Looking around at the interior of the super yacht, one guest called a couch "an eye sore" and expressed wanting for it to be "gone."

Later in the episode, during dinner, one of the guests, Neysla, complained about the cutlery on the table. She wondered why she had a butter knife instead of a fish knife. Another guest chimed in and stated that she had been through "enough plate settings that were right" and she wasn't sure if the knives on the table were right.

Neysla stated she didn't want to be rude but wondered if she should talk to the Below Deck Mediterranean cast. She told Aesha she was looking for a knife and said the one she had was "a butter knife." When the chief stew clarified it was a fish knife, the guest said:

"Oh, she's gonna school me."

The guests' behavior prompted the captain to step in and defend her crew. While in conversation with the primary and his friends, she said:

"If you beat character down, you're gonna kill her spirit. But if you're gracious and you're thankful, you're gonna feel the love, they're going to want to do more for you. I have had clients spend a million euros on a charter, they were so rude to my crew that I pulled the primary in and said I'll cancel your charter tomorrow."

Watching the Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 fans chimed in on the situation online and praised the captain for defending her crew.

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 will return to screens next week on Monday, August 19, 2024, with another episode on Bravo.
