Big Brother season 26 released its latest episode on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Leah struggled to internalize Quinn's eviction and wanted to be left alone. Angela tried to convince Makensy, Chelsie, and Cam that she wanted Quinn to go home, but unknowingly ended up on the wrong side of the vote. However, they refused to believe her since she repeated the same story week after week.
The houseguests were then introduced to 'Jankie World,' which essentially trapped them in the backyard for an entire week. Although they were promised "the best time ever," they had to fulfill whatever their AI buddy Jankie demanded. In Jankie's world, they would be served pizza and ice cream for every meal. However, its demands kept the cast members on their toes.
For the Head of Household (HoH) challenge, Jankie asked them to make s'mores for a week in a 'Getting Toasted' competition. One had to hold an oversized marshmallow against a hot pad with a long stick. Whoever outlasted the rest would be named the next HoH.
Although Leah won the task, fans praised Angela for lasting almost 10 hours. They took to X to compliment the Big Brother cast member's endurance at her age. Some claimed the other houseguests underestimated her when she had the potential to be a threat.
"She was in an endurance comp for 9 hours, 43 minutes at 51 years old. She is the greatest houseguest of all time," a fan wrote.
"Impressive! Angela really proved herself in that endurance comp!" another fan commented.
"Angela lasting almost 10 hours in an endurance comp is not something anyone would have guessed," one netizen tweeted.
Fans continued to compliment the Big Brother cast member's performance.
"Angela going over 9 hours in endurance is insane this woman is crazyyy I love her sm," a user reacted.
"angela completing that punishment AND standing in that endurance comp for 9 hours as a 51 year old woman? i don’t give a f**k what you think of her, she’s a BEAST," a person commented.
"I don’t think we talking loud enough about how Angela lasted 10 hrs in an endurance comp and won veto this week," a fan wrote.
Netizens called Angela the "underdog" of the season, urging the other Big Brother houseguests not to "sleep on her."
"She’s been the underdog this season. Also busted out that waste challenge too… don’t sleep on her," a person reacted.
"Angela stood up there 10 hours, and T’kor who I believe is 24ish didn’t even last 1…. COME ONE NOW. LETS GO ANGELA!!!" one netizen tweeted.
"Angela Murray nearly did 10 hours in that HoH endurance and people in that house are still talking about her like she's coasting, no effort, her way to the end... I can't take bitter people seriously," one user commented.
Big Brother season 26 star Angela volunteered to lose the HoH endurance competition
Big Brother star Angela was season 26's first HoH. During her reign, she bid farewell to her nemesis, Matt Hardeman. After the next couple of weeks, she reclaimed the title in week 4, which saw the blindsided eviction of Cedric.
Since Angela had already been the HoH twice in the show, she wanted someone else to have their first. As a result, she volunteered to step down from the competition despite outlasting most houseguests. Fans felt she could have won the challenge if she stayed.
The first cast member to drop their marshmallow was T'Kor at 28 minutes. Kimo lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes, whereas Makensy held her marshmallow for 2 hours and 28 minutes. With three players eliminated from the race, the remaining four battled it out for the winning spot.
Angela offered to lose alongside Cam if Rubina guaranteed their safety in the upcoming elimination. However, Cam refused to partake in Angela's schemes, rendering the offer null and void. After five hours, Rubina accidentally dropped her marshmallow due to T'Kor's distraction.
After 9 hours and 43 minutes, Angela decided to "gracefully step down," wanting either Leah or Cam to have their first HoH. Cam lost his balance at the 9-hour and 55-minute mark, making Leah week 9's HoH.
Big Brother season 26 airs every Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday, only on CBS.
