Gypsy Rose Blanchard reveals pregnancy with Ken Urker, the couple is expecting their first child in January 2025

Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s life is all set to take yet another turn as the 32-year-old announces that she is expecting her first child. The reality TV star is currently in a relationship with Ken Urker, who she describes as her “first love.”

Following her release from prison in December 2023, Blanchard has rarely been off the news. She was imprisoned due to her role in the killing of her mother, Dee Dee, in 2015, after her mother forced her to undergo years of medical abuse. Following Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s release, she has been married, divorced, and is now expecting her first child.

The Munchausen by proxy victim shared the news on her YouTube channel on July 9. In the video titled, "I'm Pregnant, My Journey So Far", Gypsy Rose Blanchard said,

"I know the rumors have been flying around for quite some time now, and I'm happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant."

She revealed that the father of her child is 31-year-old Ken Urker. She also revealed that the baby is due in Jaunuary 2025. Gypsy stated that while the baby was unplanned, both parents are "very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood."

Blanchard then went on to discuss her experience being pregnant so far, from craving orange juice to the burden of expectations. She said,

“I have experienced crazy mood swings… pregnancy is not easy with the mood swings and he's (Ken) been very gracious about it, he's been very forgiving about it”

Gypsy Rose also addressed the concerns some of her fans had regarding motherhood. She concluded the video by voicing her hopes for her future child and her hope to be a loving mother. Tearing up with emotions, she said,

"All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby. I am a mother now, I am happy, and I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn't."

Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker were pen pals when she was in prison

Gypsy announced her pregnancy on Instagram, with a photoshoot featuring her and Urker.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her current partner, Ken Urker, were actually in a relationship prior to her release from jail. They used to be pen pals before Urker proposed in 2018. However, their relationship ended before her release, at the time of which she was married to Ryan Anderson.

The romance between Blanchard and Urker was rekindled in May 2024 after her divorce from Anderson.

Speaking of her new relationship with Urker, in an interview with People magazine, Gypsy Rose Blanchard said,

"Ken and I reconnected as friends. It wasn't like, jump out of a marriage and then let me meet up with you, and boom, we're in a relationship. We had kept a friendship for the longest time. "

According to Blanchard, Urker was a shoulder to lean on following the breakdown of her marriage. She also said that she considers him her first love.

"I would say that Ken is my first love because that's when I honestly felt like a mature love. It wasn't based on a fantasy. It was actually based on a connection that two people have for each other."
