"Had me tearing up" - Kordell and Serena's speeches in Love Island USA season 6 finale leaves fans emotional

Love Island USA season 6 found its winner on Sunday, July 21, 2024. The segment featured final dates and declarations of love before Ariana Madix revealed which of the four couples won America's vote and became the winner.

Before Serena and Kordell were crowned as the season 6 winners, they expressed their love to one another in the form of speeches, much like the rest of the couples did. The heartfelt declaration left the rest of the islanders and fans teary-eyed.

Fans complimented the couple for winning the show and focused on their speeches to one another. Chiming in on Kordell's speech, one person wrote on X:

"You make me feel like a whole new man" - Kordell praises Serena in Love Island USA season 6 finale speech

In Love Island USA season 6 finale, Kordell and Serena read out their letters for one another. The male islander went first and his speech left Serena, and several other cast members in tears.

"I remember the first time I laid these blind eyes on you, seeing this blurry figure in green and thinking, 'Who the hell is that and why are we low-key matching?' I could tell there was something about you that was different," Kordell said.

The Love Island USA season 6 islander added that it made her want to find out who "Serena truly" was. Mimicking the way the female cast member said his name, Kordell recalled how Serena said "Heyy Kordell."

Kordell recalled their journey, which had its ups and downs, and said that although they didn't "hit it off" instantly, it was the "best part" of their story.

The season 6 cast member stated that their biggest battle as a couple was after Casa Amor when he brought back Daia to pair up with.

"Seeing all the tears in your eyes made me question if I made the wrong decision and that was the turning point that opened up my mind and made me realize everything. You make me feel like a whole new man," Kordell said.

Kordell added that he and Serena grew together in ways he had never grown before and added that he was "always" going to "stick around." The cast praised Kordell for his speech and Serena said she didn't know how to follow it.

Serena hugged him before starting her speech. She said:

"Hey Kordell, us matching on day one was such a foreshadowing to how similar we are."

The Love Island USA season 6 islander added that Kordell saw something in them before Serena could even admit it and said the Lord knew how happy she was that he never gave up. She added that she found herself "drawn back" to him despite her trying to escape her feelings towards him.

She thanked him for the "best summer ever" and said she was excited for their life beyond the show. The two received the most number of votes and became the winners of season 6.

After the finale episode aired, Love Island USA fans cheered for the couple and praised them for their speeches.
