Matt Hardeman became the first eliminated contestant from the Big Brother season last week. His eviction took place soon after his fight with Angela, during which the evicted cast member was called "Crazy Eyes."

Matt had allegedly threatened Angela not to put her on the "block" and nominate him and he told her that he would go after her if she did. Angela got angry and voiced her opinions to some houseguests.

Later, Angela confronted Matt in front of the entire house and told him she was flattered that she was a threat to the Big Brother season 26 contestant. Ahead of his elimination in the July 25 episode, Matt tried to save himself by pitching to the cast not to vote him out.

He started his speech by telling his family members that he was okay despite his fight with Angela. He added that he was following their footsteps and being who they raised him to be. Matt then addressed the cast and noted he was "thankful" to them. He shared that he wanted to be on peaceful terms with them in and outside the Big Brother house.

Matt added that he felt peace was "robbed" from there in Week 1 and said he tried to respond as best as possible. He mentioned that if they saved him, he would continue to play the game with "character and integrity."

Talking to Angela, he said:

"Angela, before everybody here, I forgive you, despite if you ask for it or not, I always will, every single time. That's who I want to be."

Despite his attempts to stay in Big Brother season 26, Matt was eliminated with eight votes against him. The latest episode saw the aftermath of the same during which Leah and Makensy were upset by their friend going home.

Although Leah and Makensy were unhappy with the eviction, they believed the season 26 cast did the smart thing by removing a strong competitor in the first week. They stated that they wanted to continue the 'Barbershop' alliance for Matt. They added that they were going to take down Angela to avenge Matt.
