Big Brother season 26 aired its latest episode on Thursday, July 25. It featured the competition's first live eviction. Three houseguests, Kimo Apaka, Matt Hardeman, and Kenney Kelley were nominated and were at risk of getting eliminated.

Castmate Lisa Weintraub was previously nominated. However, she used her Veto to remove herself from the block. Head of Household Anglea Murray placed Matt in Lisa's position, putting him on the verge of being sent home.

The unsafe houseguests were given the opportunity to evade elimination by winning the BB AI Arena competition. Kimo, Matt, and Kenney put their best foot forward, hoping to outshine the other and get off the block.

Once the results were announced, Kimo was declared victorious. He got emotional after earning the immunity which secured his position in the house for at least another week. Big Brother season 26 fans were satisfied with Kimo's win. They took to X to congratulate the houseguest.

Big Brother season 26 houseguest Kimo's victory gets him out of elimination

In the latest episode of Big Brother season 26, tension prevailed among the nominated houseguests. Kimo tried to talk to the other contestants about eviction when Lisa refused to grant him her vote to stay in the house.

Kimo feared his time in the house was up since he felt certain that most players would vote against him. T'Kor and Brooklyn urged Kimo to win the BB AI Arena competition to avoid getting eliminated.

Kimo, Kenney, and Matt competed against each other in a challenge, called 'Glitch in the System.' AI host Ainsley explained the game's rules that could grant one houseguest a chance to stay in the house. Multiplied images of the houseguests would be displayed on 16 screens. Each player would be given two minutes to count which cast member was showcased the most.

The task was challenging for the unsafe Big Brother houseguests. Kenney and Matt's answers were marked incorrect, while Kimo, who chose Quinn as his answer, was correct. The safe cast members watching the challenge through a screen were thrilled by the results.

Consequently, Kenney and Matt were sent into the live eviction round. Kimo, T'kor, Brooklyn, Rubina, Quinn, Cam, Tucker, and Joseph voted against Matt, whereas Lisa, Makensy, and Leah voted against Kenney. After receiving the highest votes, Matt became Big Brother's first eliminated contestant.
