Love is Blind: Mexico premiered on Thursday, August 1, 2024. It released four episodes that featured cast members starting their journey of love. While some built romantic connections, others struggled to find what they looked for. By episode four, five couples were formed as they headed to their honeymoon in Tulum, Mexico.
One such couple was Saul and Leti. They immediately clicked with one another after their first meeting in the pods. The duo talked about various aspects of life, realizing they shared a similar mindset. Eventually, Saul and Leti got engaged in episode 2 after they professed their feelings to each other.
Despite their compatibility, Saul's perspective on physical intimacy clashed with Leti's. Leti hesitated to be openly intimate before the cameras, whereas Saul seemed to have no issue doing the same. During one of their dates, Leti confessed she prioritized intellectual chemistry, while Saul valued physical intimacy more.
The Love is Blind: Mexico cast member began doubting her connection with Saul when he passionately kissed her during their engagement ceremony. She stated the moment made her feel nervous. In episode 4, Leti revealed they were moving "too fast," making her apprehensive about their relationship. Fans took to X to react to Saul's behavior with Leti.
"Saul is such a creep idk he gives me the ick #loveisblindmexico," another person wrote.
"Saul comes off as slimy #loveisblindmexico," a netizen wrote.
"Saúl red flag #LoveisBlindMéxico," another fan commented.
Fans noticed Saul tried to impose his preferences on Leti, making the latter uncomfortable. When she expressed her concerns, Saul felt disappointed instead of understanding and respecting her point of view.
"ALSO It’s so important that she made it a point to emphasize consent & ENTHUSIASTIC CONSENT. If it happens it will happen when she wants where she wants bcus too many men don’t understand boundaries & unfortunately not many feel safe & comfortable saying no #loveisblindmexico," a user tweeted.
"The more pressure Saúl puts on Leti to get physical, the less she will want to do it. He's such a weirdo. He's making the situation worse from himself. #loveisblindMexico #loveisblind," a fan wrote.
"I told you my spirit wasn't feeling Saúl. Just because Leti didn't have s*x with him the first night, he's already talking about her to the other guys. #loveisblindMexico #loveisblind," another fan commented.
Love is Blind: Mexico fans continued criticizing Saul for his demeanor toward Leti. One fan felt "traumatised" by the way he approached her. Others felt the couple would not make it to the end of the show.
"Lol i am actually traumatised by men serenading in #loveisblind since Saul, I skip every time #LoveIsBlindMexico," a person tweeted.
"Finally got to sit down and watch the 4th episode of #LoveIsBlindMexico and its clear as a day that Saul and Leti aren't going to making it to the alter," a fan commented.
"Did Leti and Saúl not talk about s*x and physical stuff in the pods? Like.. seems like a pretty important thing to talk about lol. #LoveisBlindMexico," another netizen tweeted.
What happened between Saul and Leti in Love is Blind: Mexico?
Saul and Leti started building their relationship in episode 2 of the show. Their connection quickly progressed and they were engaged by the end of the episode.
While introducing herself, Leti admitted the challenges she had to face in her previous relationships because of her ADHD. The Love is Blind: Mexico confessed she was easily overwhelmed when things moved at a quicker pace. During one of her dates with Saul, Leti stated her concerns heading into the honeymoon.
She said she wanted both of them to feel comfortable before getting physically intimate. Later when Saul passionately kissed her, Leti said:
"That first kiss scared me. It was kind of explosive and crazy. Too intense."
In episode 3 of Love is Blind: Mexico, Leti stated she needed to set some boundaries to let Saul know he was moving too fast. She reminded him of their first kiss and told him it made her uncomfortable. Although he agreed to respect her standpoint, he seemed dissatisfied with it.
In episode 4, Saul confided in another Love is Blind: Mexico cast member about his feelings regarding Leti.
"It's all good but she's also a woman who is not very open to, um, anything s*xual. Anything intimate. She has a lot of fears," said Saul.
Although they seemed compatible, the couple had internal issues, that could potentially jeopardize their relationship.
