The Traitors UK aired a new episode on January 22, 2025. The segment saw the banishment of Minah, one of the original Traitors recruited by Claudia Winkleman, the show's host. Four players voted in favor of Minah's elimination, including Alexander, who had unknowingly misspelled her name on the board. When pointed out, a disappointed Alexander apologized for his error and corrected it.
When he turned his board around to reveal the name of the person he had voted for, Minah noticed that her name was spelled as "Mina." She mentioned it to Alexander, saying:
"You missed a 'H' on my name."
Alexander was surprised he made a mistake and stated:
"Not me as well. I'm really sorry about that."
While explaining the reason behind his nomination, Alexander mentioned that he was trying a "new theory," however, he hoped he was proven wrong. Unfortunately, Minah was one of the conspirators, and their votes successfully eliminated another Traitor from the mix.
The Traitors UK fans took to X to react to Alexander's apology to Minah. While many appreciated his personality, others rooted for him to win the show.
"alexander looked genuinely mortified he spelled minah’s name wrong he’s pookie," a fan wrote.
"not Alexander fixing his spelling he’s too funny," another fan commented.
"Alexander saying "not me as well" as he joins the bad spelling crew. Legit thought I'd hate him but basically the only one I want to win," a netizen tweeted.
The Traitors UK fans were in awe of Alexander's personality, praising him for apologizing to Minah for misspelling her name.
"HOW can you not love Alexander, correcting his spelling of Minah and apologising for getting it wrong, my king," a user reacted.
"alexander being mortified at spelling minah’s name wrong and immediately correcting it all “oh god not me as well!!” his affable bumbling and operatic squawking have bewitched me body and soul," a person commented.
"Alexander is so sweet bless him first person to apologise for the spelling in the history of the traitors," another fan wrote.
"Minah: You missed a H on my name Alexander: *feels awful for a thousand years*" one user tweeted.
Meanwhile, other fans of The Traitors UK hoped Alexander would win the reality series.
"If Alexander does not make the finale. The nation will be fuming. He’s the best faithful out of everyone remaining, he’s dealt with a lot of backlash after re-entering the game after being eliminated due to the opening twist. He must win now," a person reacted.
"...Alexander is the only one who doesn't want the money for himself...he's proved he has a strong moral compass, good humour, excellent operatic voice (!), up front and honest, respectful and selfless... he deserves to win!!" another netizen commented.
What else happened on Wednesday's episode of The Traitors UK?
Among the three Faithfuls shortlisted as potential targets for "murder," Joe was the player who received the official decree from the conspirators. Francesca broke down in tears after realizing Joe had not joined them for breakfast at the castle.
"I really wanted for him, maybe more than me, to stay in the game until the end and I'm gutted for him that he hasn't," she stated.
While reflecting on his elimination, Joe claimed the Traitors thought he would be a "tough contender" if he made it to the final roundtable so they "murdered" him when they had the chance. Regardless, he praised the gameplay of the conspirators but hoped the Faithfuls won.
"Don't let my death be in vain," he said.
While Francesca wiped her tears, Freddie added that Joe's elimination was a "personal loss." Meanwhile, Jake drew the conclusion that the Traitor "had to be a man," pointing fingers at Freddie and Alexander. He tried to persuade Alexander to vote against Freddie but in vain.
During the discussion at the roundtable, Jake revealed his theory of the male traitor, convincing Leanne to suspect Alexander, who not only came in late but also was the only player left from the death match.
Although Freddie and Alexander received votes in favor of their banishment, Minah had to leave the castle with the majority. Following Minah's elimination, Charlotte recruited Freddie, inviting him to conspire on their next "murder."
The Traitors UK airs every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 9 pm exclusively on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
