"HOW??" — Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans criticize Danni for thinking she's a "threat" to Daisy's position

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 aired episode 13, Mid-Strife Crisis, on Monday, January 6, 2025. It showcased Danni voicing her concerns to Daisy, accusing her of snapping at her and making her feel dispassionate toward work. However, when Daisy told Danni that it was not her responsibility to help others create passion, it led Danni to think Daisy disliked her because she threatened her position.

Daisy was caught off guard when Danni mentioned she felt directionless due to her behavior. She advised Danni to ask for help whenever needed, calling herself a "very approachable" person. Danni's complaints disappointed Daisy, who said that she felt "blindsided." However, during a confessional, she called Danni a "billboard for Gen Z."

Later in the episode, Daisy reprimanded Danni for undermining her role as Chief Stew. She urged Danni to be aware of her position and disapproved of her complaints about being unfairly treated. Although Danni apologized to Daisy, she took to a confessional to say:

"I think Daisy hates me because I'm a threat to her position."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans flocked to X to criticize Danni for thinking she was Daisy's competition. While many were unimpressed by Danni's confidence, others disapproved of her behavior toward Daisy.

"Lost sight of what her role is on this boat" — Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Daisy comments on Danni's behavior

In one of the segments of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht episode, Daisy pulled Danni aside for a one-on-one conversation, appreciating her for expressing her concerns. Although she praised Danni for being a "great stew" and an asset to the team, she confessed that it was not her duty to "create passion" in the crewmates. Daisy further stated it was Danni's responsibility to feel motivated to work.

"And to say that this season is only carrying on because of the initiative you and Diana have taken, quite frankly, is very undermining to me. Yes, we get f**ked up charters, but that's not fair to put that on me," Daisy said.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Chief Stew was also critical of Danni saying she felt "hard done by." Daisy asserted herself as Danni's manager, saying that she was capable of doing her job. Consequently, she expected the Junior Stew to be aware of her rank and take the time to reflect on her position on deck.

Danni apologized to Daisy, who accepted it and hoped they could finish the season strong. Danni hugged Daisy and mentioned that she enjoyed working alongside her. However, while speaking to the cameras, Daisy stated:

"I think Danni has lost sight of what her role is on this boat. She is here to do beds and heads and to set the odd table if I allow her to."
