"I feel very attacked"— Love Is Blind star Tim responds to Alex's doubts about his intentions on the show

Love Is Blind season 7 premiered on October 2, 2024, and its 12 episodes showcased 29 singles looking for a life partner. The streaming giant released the reunion episode on October 30, 2024, which featured 7 couples who were able to get out of the pods with a partner.

Tim and Alex were among the participants who immediately connected in the pods of Love Is Blind. After going out on their honeymoon, Tim asked for Alex's hand in front of her father. The moment was one of the most talked about instances as Alex's father couldn't help but get emotional and approve of their marriage.

Unfortunately, the couple did not make it to the altar as misunderstandings between the two occurred. In the reunion, Alex confronted Tim about saying one thing to her dad and doing another in reality, as he was the one to initiate their breakup.

Alex claimed that Tim confessed to having doubts, hours after meeting her parents and questioned why they even met if he wasn't sure about her. Tim defended himself by stating that he tried his best to do what his fiance required at the time which included respecting her parents.

"Look I get it. This is your version of the truth but I feel very attacked. You're saying that I didn't do something honestly when this entire you were asking me to do everything I can for your family, so I did it," stated Tim.

Alex claims that the verbal disagreement between her and Tim was cut off from Love Is Blind season 7

The host of the reunion, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, asked Alex if there was something that wasn't shown on the TV screen but wanted to share to complete the story. Alex recalled a verbal disagreement between the former couple during the honeymoon trip to Cabo, that was cut off by the producers.

She mentioned that her father had been admitted to a rehab facility a week before she left for the pods of Love Is Blind. Being a person always close to the family, she felt overwhelmed as it had been three weeks away from them by that time. Tim also chimed in that he didn't feel any animosity for his ex because of that incident but claimed his version of the truth was different.

"She had left before me the pool party, so I'm trying to catch her. But I could tell she's upset. So, in my head, I'm thinking this is my fiance, I want to be there for her," revealed Tim.

He further revealed that he tried to calm Alex down while she was crying on the floor due to a family issue that was unknown to him. Tim felt a boundary was crossed when Alex put her hand on his mouth and made a derogatory remark. Tim also mentioned that he did not want to overreact and portrayed a certain way being a "225, 6-foot Black man".

Alex and Tim have remained single since their time on Love Is Blind

On October 31, Tudum by Netflix updated what the cast had been up to since the filming was concluded over a year ago. Tim revealed that he has been in “monk mode” ever since he broke up with Alex and focusing on his family and career. He recently got a new job and believes he has a better idea about what he wants in a life partner.

Tim is currently looking for a wife and expressed that he had the same attitude while he was with Alex. Ultimately, Tim and Alex decided to end things as their communication worsened and Alex took a nap during the visit with his parents. Tim mentioned to Tudum that he felt disrespect towards his family by Alex which is what pushed him to end things.

Meanwhile, Love Is Blind's Alex is slowly getting back into the dating world and majorly focusing on her parents. Her idea of her partner also seems to have changed as she is looking for a more understanding and emotionally intelligent person.
