Outlast season 2 premiered on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, during which the 16 contestants divided themselves up into teams or camps of four. Camp Alpha consisted of Bayo, Tonia, Tre, and Zach but were at odds from the get-go.

Zach and Bayo both had different strategies. While Zach wanted to ally with Camp Bravo, which was situated on the same side of the river as them, Bayo opposed the idea since he believed it was each team for themselves.

The two approached the competition camp together, but they had different plans. Zach wanted to have a cordial relationship with his competitors, but Bayo sabotaged the plan by stealing their pants as he tried to assert dominance.

Zach told other members of Camp Alpha about the same, and Tonia and Tre were upset by Bayo's actions. In episode 2, Alpha decided to remove Bayo from the team to safeguard themselves against retaliation from Bravo. After being voted out, the cast member chimed in on the ordeal.

"I have to accept the decision of the team. I feel betrayed. I thought I had a team, but I didn't," Bayo said.

Since he was left without a team, Bayo had 24 hours to find another team. However, he chose to self-eliminate in episode 2.

Bayo's journey in Outlast season 2 explained

Bayo was picked first by Zach to join Camp Alpha, followed by Tre and Tonia. Once all the teams were complete, they made their way to their shoreline and started looking for a suitable place to set up camp.

While going through the supplies given to each team at the start of the competition, Bayo was unimpressed by the flare guns. He said they wouldn't need to use them and asked whether they should "throw it out in the ocean." Zach emerged as the evident leader as the Outlast season 2 cast members set up camp. Chiming in on the contestant's role, Bayo said:

"Zach got to choose every member of the team, but just because you have the hatchet in your hand and you got to pick first, that doesn't mean you're the leader, man."

Although Bayo was unhappy, he gave the "so-called team leader" a chance and followed his lead. The team worked well together and Bayo received praise from his co-stars for trying to light a fire consistently. In a confessional, Tonia said that although all of them tried to get the fire going, Bayo "stayed there and kept going."

The following day, after engaging with Team Bravo from a distance, Bayo felt certain his Outlast season 2 team could win. However, he felt they needed to "get some players" out and told his team he wanted to scout out the other camp.

"I'm not afraid to shake sh*t up," he told the cameras.

The Outlast season 2 player told his team they had to "go over there with some food" like they had just walked out of McDonalds. Before that, the team had to acquire some land-based protein to keep their energy levels up, but Zach, who was a skilled hunter, could not hunt squirrels.

Bayo took on the role even though he didn't have much experience with a bow and an arrow. The Outlast star explained that he was a "trapper" and didn't know Archey. However, he knew how to "take charge" and caught the first squirrel for Team Alpha.

"Nothing gets way from Trapper Bayo," he celebrated.

While it lifted the team's spirit, Bayo still wanted to scout out Camp Bravo. Zach believed they should try to align with the opponent, but Bayo felt they needed to show dominance. He said it was time for him to play his game.

As Zach interacted with members of Bravo while at their camp, Bayo emptied their pots and cans that were filled with water. When Sammy asked if he was taking their things, Bayo said it was part of the game as he emptied the water.

The Outlast season 2 contestant took the supplies with him, which didn't sit well with Zach. He called Bayo a "f*cking idiot" and rushed to tell the rest of Camp Alpha about his actions. The group was unhappy with his behavior and feared retaliation from Camp Bravo.

After discussing the situation internally, Tre gave back Bravo's supplies. The latter informed Tre that if Bayo were to flare out or leave Camp Alpha, it would be water under the bridge. The Outlast season 2 stars decided to vote Bayo out of their camp and cast member in question self-eliminated.

Episodes 1-6 of Outlast season 2 are available to stream on Netflix.
