The Valley star Jax Taylor spoke about being a narcissist during the latest episode of the When Reality Hits podcast on Friday, September 13, 2024.

The reality TV star was candid as he answered fan questions about his rehab stay during his first solo episode on the podcast that he started with his ex-wife, Brittany Cartwright. One fan asked him whether he saw himself as a "narcissist," to which Taylor responded with a "yes." He explained:

"I'm going to be honest with this. Yes, I do agree. I've literally learned probably five new terms that I've never heard before that. I'm probably going to get in trouble for saying this, but I do all of them. I've done them all for years and I had no idea."

Mentioning some "narcissistic traits" that he possessed, Taylor added:

"I breadcrumb, I love bomb [and do] gaslighting."

The Vanderpump Rules star further noted that he learned those terms during his 30-day stay in an in-patient treatment center in late July. He said that he looked up their definitions only to realize that he fit those descriptions.

Taylor explained that he was "never held accountable" for all his actions for many years until recently.

Jax Taylor's realization came nearly two months after he entered a mental health facility on July 31, 2024. Days after he completed his treatment, Brittany Cartwright officially filed for divorce to end their four-year marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences." However, the documents obtained by People magazine stated that the former couple had been separated since January 24.

Jax Taylor said that he doesn't know how he became a "narcissist"

Elsewhere in the When Reality Hits podcast, Jax Taylor humbly admitted to his narcissistic traits. However, he was not sure how he became one, as he shared:

"I have to humble myself and say, 'Do you think you're a narcissist?' And I do. I don't know how I became one [but] I do believe I'm a narcissist."

However, the reality TV star explained that it was only his self-assessment, and no doctor had verified if he had narcissistic behavior. However, he claimed that he discovered those tendencies "by just looking up the definition."

The Vanderpump Rules star added that "people have had enough" of him and his behavior recently, saying that Cartwright divorcing him was one of the examples of it. Taylor said that people were "tired of walking on eggshells" in his presence, including Cartwright, whom he felt he "took for granted."

Elsewhere in the podcast, the reality TV star noted that he was "sad" that it took him so long to ask for help. He added that Cartwright had begged him to address his anger issues, but he refused to do it before. Taylor said that part of why he refused to seek help was because he came from a "background where we just really don't ask for help."

Jax Taylor was diagnosed with PTSD and bipolar disorder, as he revealed on Instagram on September 3, 2024. He mentioned that he learned that he was diagnosed with both conditions in his 30-day stint in the facility.
