Big Brother season 26 released its latest episode on Sunday, July 28, 2024. It featured the houseguests competing against each other to win the much-coveted Head of Household (HoH) title.

The position came with powers that each contestant desired to possess, but most importantly, it granted immunity from eviction to its holder. Angela Murray was the HoH during the first week of Big Brother season 26. In the latest episode, viewers saw Chelsie Baham, win a competition and become the HoH for the second week.

While houseguests Leah Peters and T'Kor Clottey came close to winning the challenge, Chelsie outperformed them to snatch the victory. Chelsie admitted her win was unexpected during her confessional since she was not playing strategically.

She also appeared excited to take over the duties of her newly assigned role. Big Brother fans were happy with the outcome of the competition, as many took to X to congratulate Chelsie, with some stating that they loved the "outcome."

Chelsie lost a task in the first week and was downgraded to a mascot. As a result, fans were excited to see her upgrade her position in the Big Brother house after winning the HoH competition.

Chelsie goes from Mascot to HoH in week 2 of Big Brother season 26

When Chelsie entered the Big Brother house, she and the other contestants participated in a challenge to decide on the entry of a seventeenth houseguest. However, they did not know that the houseguest was not a cast member but the AI host, Ainsley.

Having voted against her entry, Chelsie had to participate in another challenge, whose loser would receive a game downgrade. She finished in last place and got her game downgraded. She was not allowed to compete for HoH or the Power of Veto. At the same time, others could nominate her for eviction while she was deprived of that power.

After surviving the first week, Chelsie approached the game with a new mindset. She and the other houseguests participated in a challenge called "Animal Obsession," where they had to answer true or false questions about animal-related videos.

After clearing the first three rounds, Chelsie entered the fourth round alongside T'Kor, Leah, and Kimo. Kimo got eliminated in the fourth round, while the three women moved ahead. Each of them answered the fifth question correctly. However, Chelsie was the only one who answered the sixth question correctly, making her the challenge's winner.

While speaking to the cameras, Chelsie confessed it felt "crazy" to win, upgrading herself from a powerless mascot to the HoH. She added that she wanted to play a "smart game" and tried to brainstorm who she wanted to nominate for the upcoming elimination.
