"I'm not going crazy, am I?" - Love Is Blind UK star Ollie discusses tension between him and Catherine

Love is Blind UK, the popular dating reality series, released its second batch of episodes on August 14, 2024. The UK edition follows 30 participants, who are trying to find the love of their lives through the dating experiment. They are made to form an emotional connection, without ever seeing the other.

Episode 5 follows six newly formed couples in Love is Blind UK in Corfu, Greece, who were able to connect and get engaged with other participants. The couples were Catherine and Freddie, Demi and Ollie, Jasmine and Bobby, Maria and Tom, Nicole and Benaiah, and Sabrina and Steven.

Before Ollie asked Demi to marry her, he used to have a connection with Catherine as well. Both connected really well emotionally but Catherine eventually decided to choose Freddie as her partner, thus rejecting Ollie in the process.

When it was time for the couples to meet each other in Greece, both Catherine and Ollie expressed to their partners, their desire to meet each other.

Catherine confronted Ollie in a one-on-one chat and hoped for no bad blood between them. Ollie initially agreed but seemed awkward for the rest of the night. He confided in Bobby expressing he was feeling something in the air after talking with Catherine.

Bobby agreed with Ollie and stated that he saw Catherine looking at Ollie in a certain type of way and acknowledged the weird energy between them. Ollie said:

"I'm not going crazy, am I? You know from my chat with Catherine, I thought that'd be it, done. But there's still something in the air. What am I supposed to do to address this? I wanna be cool with everyone."

Love Is Blind UK: What happened between Ollie and Catherine?

In the first episode of Love is Blind UK, as the 30 participants were exploring connections, Catherine connected with both Ollie and Freddie. While Ollie was also forming a strong bond with Demi.

Both Ollie and Demi shared several interests and Catherine claimed to have fallen for his voice. However, with time, Ollie claimed to be forming a strong emotional connection with Demi. Ollie stated:

"I had a date with Catherine. It was hitting on paper, hitting in my head, but not in my heart. If you saw a house and it's got all the things you want on paper, but it doesn't feel right... That's kind of what I feel like here."

Demi also shared the same opinion about Ollie and explained the situation to Catherine in the women's lounge. Catherine eventually lets Demi and Ollie have their space and decides to back down because of Demi.

By this time, Freddie had made his intentions regarding Catherine very clear as he started to feel emotions for her in Love is Blind UK. They both were able to connect when Freddie opened up about his brother having Down Syndrome and the struggles that come with it.

To Freddie's delight, Catherine explained she coached children with Down syndrome during her free time and is all right with all possibilities.

Ollie's feelings also continued to grow stronger with Demi as she gave him a handwritten card that expressed her love for Ollie. They eventually got engaged and were delighted to have found each other.

Eventually, when every couple met and Ollie and Catherine had a conversation about clearing the air between them, Demi couldn't help but confess to Jasmine that she was feeling jealous. Jasmine agreed with Demi's sentiment and hoped that Ollie would come and chat with Demi rather than Bobby.
