"I'm literally tearing up" — Love Island USA fans react to Serena and Kordell's movie date

Love Island USA season 6 aired its finale on Sunday, July 21. JaNa and Kenny, Kordell and Serena, Leah and Miguel, and Kendall and Nicole were the four couples who made it through to the last leg of the show.

Before host Ariana Madix arrived to announce the results of the viewers' votes, each couple went on their final dates. Serena and Kordell were surprised with a drive-in movie date, where they were shown a montage of their journey on the show.

The Love Island USA couple got emotional recalling their bittersweet memories. Fans were in awe of the date setup that allowed Serena and Kordell to reminisce about their journey. They took to X to applaud the arrangement and comment on how romantic it was.

The other three couples were sent on different dates. JaNa and Kenny enjoyed a romantic candle-lit dinner, while Leah and Miguel went on a thrilling ATV bike ride. While the other dates were appealing, Love Island USA fans thought Serena and Kordell's was "the best of the best."

Fans of the Peacock show also commented on how emotional they got watching Serena and Kordell's date. They believed the movie about the couple's journey summarized their run on the show well.

Serena and Kordell were excited to look back at their journey and recall the memories they made together. They were seated in a car and the area around them was covered in fairy lights.

The Love Island USA couple watched how their relationship unfolded on the show. While looking back on their time together, Kordell said:

"I look weird on the TV, but you, on the other hand, beautiful."

They got sentimental watching the compilation. They cheered once they saw "The End, The Beginning" displayed at the movie's end.

"We get all sentimental and sh*t," said Kordell.

Love Island USA star Kordell was satisfied with the date because he felt it was an appropriate representation of their love story. He comforted Serena as she burst into tears.

"That was beautiful. They showed our ups and downs, what we really been through. I guess what I said in the beginning was perfect. It just played out perfectly," said Kordell.

Serena shared her thoughts on their relationship, praising Kordell for being patient with her. She admitted she was not the "easiest" to be with, but complimented Kordell for standing by her till the end.

"I couldn't ask for anybody else to experience this with and I'm just so happy," said Serena.

Kordell thanked her for expressing her feelings and for letting her guard down. The Love Island USA couple appeared excited to take their relationship outside the villa. Kordell was sure they could make their connection last, despite the obstacles. They ended their date with a passionate embrace and a kiss.

Later in the episode, host Ariana Madix arrived and declared Serena and Kordell the winners of Love Island USA season 6.
