The conflict between W.A.G.s to Riches stars Sadé Vanessa and Keeta Hill arose from a misunderstanding over suite access during a Kansas City Chiefs playoff game in January 2024. Addressing the situation on the show, Sadé stated:
“They didn’t come up to the suite until after halftime because they were filming and I was nothing but nice.”
The disagreement, which originated from logistical challenges, became a topic of discussion during the show’s first season, which premiered on January 22, 2025. Both Sadé and Keeta provided their perspectives, seeking to address the lingering tension.
Conflict over suite access sparks tension on W.A.G.s to Riches
The origin of the dispute
During episode 2 of W.A.G.s to Riches, Keeta Hill recalled that the conflict began at a Kansas City Chiefs playoff game against the Miami Dolphins. Keeta mentioned she had been filming for Hard Knocks docuseries at the time and asked to shoot scenes inside the suite arranged for the wives and girlfriends attending the game.
“All the girls said Sadé was the one saying I couldn’t do it,” Keeta stated during the episode, referencing what she had heard from others in the group.
She explained that she had not interacted with Sadé directly before the incident and was unaware of who she was. According to Keeta, the group had collectively contributed to the cost of the suite, and she expressed confusion about why her film request was met with resistance.
Sadé Vanessa, addressing the situation during the show, provided a different account. She clarified that she had organized the suite to accommodate the group under challenging weather conditions.
“I took it upon myself to arrange and coordinate a suite because we are going to Kansas and it is negative seven degrees,” the W.A.G.s to Riches star explained.
Sadé emphasized that Keeta was not present in the group chat used to coordinate the plans, though she acknowledged that Keeta’s representative had sent the required contribution.
Differing perspectives on suite access
Keeta believed that the group's lack of on-camera participation influenced their unwillingness to allow Hard Knocks filming in the suite.
“I think some of the girls thought, ‘We aren’t getting shot so you all can’t come in,’” she explained during her segment on the show.
This perception, according to Keeta, added to the tension surrounding the situation. Sadé, however, denied any intent to exclude Keeta or the Hard Knocks crew.
“Me along with several other girls were not comfortable with them,” she explained, noting that it was a group decision.
Sadé also suggested that the production team for Hard Knocks should have provided a separate suite for filming purposes.
“If Hard Knocks wants to put us in a suite, then they need to provide it,” the W.A.G.s to Riches star added.
Resolution and reflection
Despite the initial conflict, Sadé and Keeta took steps toward reconciliation during a group lunch featured later on the show. Sadé reiterated that she was not solely responsible for the decision to restrict filming.
“I didn’t choose not to allow you guys to shoot. I wasn’t the main girl [in charge of that decision],” she told Keeta during their conversation.
Both women acknowledged that miscommunication played a significant role in the misunderstanding. Keeta and Sadé ultimately expressed a mutual desire to move forward. While Keeta noted that some issues were “still lingering,” the two emphasized the importance of improved communication to prevent similar conflicts in the future.
The first season of W.A.G.s to Riches is now streaming on Netflix, offering viewers a closer look at the dynamics among the cast.
