"I did something that was impulsive"— Big Ed from 90 Day Fiancé calls off engagement with fiancée days after proposal

90 Day Fiance star Big Ed is single again after he called off his "impulsive" 24-hour engagement days after proposing. He confirmed the end of his engagement with 29-year-old Porscha Raemond in a video he posted on his Instagram on Monday, September 23.

The TLC star talked about the "impulsive" proposal in the video and why he changed his mind. He said:

"Love is a crazy thing... I did something that was impulsive, I asked this girl to marry me and after considering... It's too soon and it's not really what I want, obviously."

Big Ed further explained that he talked to his family, and after their conversation, he said that he "realized I don't wanna get married."

The 90 Day Fiancé star added that he prefers being single and went on to wish Porscha "the best in life."

Big Ed said that his proposal "wasn't the right move" as he shared the news of the end of his engagement

Besides his Instagram post, Big Ed also shared the news on his Instagram Stories, where he referred to his proposal with the 29-year-old as "a whirlwind" and "wasn't the right move" for him. He wrote:

"As many of you know, I recently proposed in what was a whirlwind and admittedly, a very impulsive moment. After some deep reflection and discussions with those closest to me, I've realized that rushing into this decision wasn't the right move."

The reality TV star also mentioned that he "has nothing but respect and love for Porscha." He also wished her ex-fiancée "the best moving forward." Big Ed recently made news after he proposed to Porscha Raemond 24 hours after meeting her in Plantation, Florida.

He detailed the meeting with Page Six on September 19, saying that he was carrying "big sandwiches with sparklers." He explained:

"And in walks this beautiful Italian dish. Her name is Porscha... She comes up, gives me the warmest hug... She gives me a big kiss on the cheek."

The TLC star said he "hit it off" with his "dream girl" and that they both "felt the sparks" at the time. Big Ed explained that he didn't have a ring with him then, but a friend encouraged him to pop the question, so get got down on one knee, and "everyone goes crazy."

He recalled the restaurant "freaking out" when he was about to propose.

The 90 Day Fiance star also confirmed that, without an engagement ring, he proposed to Raemond with a ring made of paper clip supplied to him by the restaurant manager. The reality TV star also told the magazine that he planned on getting the 29-year-old an engagement ring that would match the quality of a Tiffany & Co. sparkler.

While the proposal was a whirlwind, Big Ed explained that he plans to take his engagement "slow."
