"I've hustled for it" — Dubai Bling's Farhana Bodi opens up about her journey to success

Farhana Bodi, star of Dubai Bling, shared her story of success in an interview with News18 Showsha on January 13, 2025. The reality star talked about her background in the fashion industry, and how she built her career from scratch. Farhana's fashion sense made her a talking point on Netflix's Dubai Bling.

Her bold and flashy style choices sparked some chatter among her castmates, Safa Siddiqui and Zeina Khoury.

According to Farhana, they didn't understand her fashion sense as they came from corporate backgrounds, having worked as real estate agents and starting their own companies. Farhana believed that their professional backgrounds made it hard for them to relate to her bold fashion choices.

She said people didn't know what she had gone through, so their comments didn't bother her. Having lived in several countries, including India, London, and South Africa, she gained a unique perspective on life. Farhana credited her hard work for her current glamorous lifestyle for which she had put in a lot of effort to get where she was.

"My life experiences are at a different level. It’s so much more than Safa’s and Zeina’s put together. I live the glamorous life today but I hustled for it," stated Farhana.

Dubai Bling's Farhana Bodi reveals she's a fan of another Netflix reality show

Farhana Bodi, a social media influencer and entrepreneur revealed that she is a big fan of Netflix's Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. She has become friends with the show's stars, including Maheep Kapoor and Seema Sajdeh, whom she met through Sanjay Kapoor.

Dubai Bling's Farhana keeps in touch with the Bollywood Wives stars through social media and meets up with them when she visits India. She revealed that she had met Bhavana Pandey when Bhavana visited Dubai.

When asked if a crossover episode between Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives and Dubai Bling might happen, Farhana said that nothing was planned, but she would love to collaborate with Shalini Passi on a podcast.

“There’s nothing planned as of now but I would love to do a podcast with Shalini," stated Farhana.

Farhana Bodi further expressed her admiration for Shalini Passi as she recalled meeting Shalini at an award show and hitting it off with her. Farhana enjoyed Shalini's company, finding her to be "cute and fun." She appreciated Shalini's authenticity, which made her relatable to audiences. Farhana felt a connection with Shalini, as they shared similar traits.

Farhana Bodi set the record straight about the drama on the show. She explained that her issue with Safa was genuine, stemming from Safa's comment that Farhana's Birkin bag was borrowed. Farhana clarified that she owns an account with Hermes globally and purchases her own bags. Farhana felt it was essential to correct the misconception.

"I don’t want the whole world to think that I borrow my jewellery and bags. Who’s going to even borrow Hermes bags? No one! Not me! And I won’t lend mine to anyone either," revealed Dubai Bling's Farhana.

Farhana also addressed Safa's criticism of her profession. She pointed out that Safa comes from a non-wealthy background and married into money. Farhana felt that Safa couldn't survive a day in her shoes.

Farhana revealed that she took pride in her hard work, from her humble beginnings as a makeup artist to her current success. She felt that Safa's comments were unfair and dismissive of her accomplishments.
