Season 26 of The Voice returned with a new episode on Monday, October 28, 2024. The third night of the Battles featured a diverse lineup of singers competing for a spot in the next stages of the show. The coaches faced tough decisions, as they had to select one singer from each matchup, unfortunately bidding farewell to the other.

At that point, the other coaches would have the opportunity to steal the eliminated singers and scout them for their team. In Monday's episode, coach Gwen Stefani paired Felsmere with Cozy Len, leaving herself with a difficult decision by the end of their performance. However, after much deliberation, Gwen sent Felsmere to the Knockouts, ending Cozy Len's journey in the competition series.

The singers battled on Summer Breeze by Seals & Crofts, leading netizens to have mixed reviews. The Voice fans took to X to comment on their performance. While some praised Cozy Len's vocals, others felt Felsmere outperformed him.

"That was an incredible performance by cozy len and felsmere," a fan wrote.
"Great battle...Cozy vs Felsmere," another fan commented.
"Summer Breeze, boring," a netizen tweeted.

While some fans of The Voice appreciated Felsmere and Cozy Len's performance, many criticized their pairing, claiming coach Gwen made a mistake pitting them against one another.

"Felsmere vs Cozy Len She gives us that opening moan & lauches into the verse, had the coaches singing along. He adds his falsetto, sprinkling it perfectly throughout the melody. He kinda reminds me of Jesse Campbell, that sound & swagger," one netizen wrote.
"They are butchering Summer Breeze!" a user reacted.
"Felsmere/Cozy Len. Vote them both off. Butchering this great song," a person commented.

At the same time, many The Voice fans felt Cozy Len should have won the Battle. They were "disappointed" to see him leave the competition after none of the other coaches pressed their Steal button to make him the newest member of their teams.

"Are you serious?!?! Cozy Len should've won that battle!! I'm disappointed!" a user tweeted.
"Felsmere? Seriously? Cozy Len hands down won that," a person reacted.
"Unpopular opinion: Felsmere shouldn't be on. She was on the show before and has an advantage," one netizen commented.

Felsmere and Cozy Len's performance earns a standing ovation from The Voice coach Michael Bublé

Gwen Stefani paired Felsmere with Cozy Len and had them sing Summer Breeze by Seals & Crofts. Although an odd matchup due to their contrasting vocal tones and singing styles, Gwen believed they would complement each other onstage and do justice to the song.

Felsmere, a.k.a. Kelsey Rey, returned to The Voice after debuting in season 1. She came back to honor her late father and showcase her growth as a musical artist. In the inaugural season of The Voice, Felsmere was a part of Team CeeLo Green. However, her journey ended after she lost to another singer in the Battles round.

Consequently, Felsmere wanted to leave a lasting impression, determined to advance to the next stage of the competition. When Gwen selected Summer Breeze for the duo, she was convinced Felsmere and Cozy Len could turn the '70s hit into something new and modern.

Felsemere confessed the song was her "mom's favorite," whereas for Cozy Len, it had deeper meanings. He explained he could connect to the song because it mentioned his wife's name, Jasmine, throughout.

The Battle commenced, and the singers started maneuvering across the stage, leaving the coaches moving to the song's rhythm. The Voice coach, Michael, was impressed by the individuality each singer showcased. He gave them a standing ovation and complimented them, saying they were "perfect in their own lane."

Although he preferred Cozy Len's vocals over Felsmere's, he appreciated the latter's pop star tone. On the contrary, Coach Snoop Dogg sided with Felsmere, saying he would declare her the Battle's winner. Meanwhile, Reba McEntire complimented Cozy Len for showcasing his range and Felsmere for presenting her unique tone.

After considering the coaches' reviews, Gwen announced Felsmere as the winner, ending Cozy Len's journey as a contestant on The Voice.
