Season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way released a brand-new episode on Monday, October 21, 2024. It featured a tearful reunion between Meitalia, also known as Tata, and her sister, Angel. However, the encounter took a turn when Angel voiced her concerns about James.
Angel was caught off guard after meeting James for the first time. She revealed she was uncomfortable around him and harbored a grudge against him for taking her sister to the U.S. right after their engagement. Consequently, she confessed to spreading "gossip" about James, claiming he was an ill-mannered son-in-law.
Angel was convinced James was an untrustworthy man who entered their lives to "steal" Meitalia. Despite James' pleas, she refused to accept him as her brother-in-law, worried she might lose Meitalia if James returned to the U.S.

What happened when James met Meitalia's sister in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way?
Meitalia reunited with her sister, Angel, in episode 17 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, titled Donna Mia. The sisters embraced and expressed their love for each other. However, Angel was unimpressed upon meeting James. It was their first in-person encounter and James was nervous.
Meitalia wanted James and Angel to reconcile and form a good relationship. Angel confessed it was difficult for her to let go of her grudge against James because she blamed the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star for taking Meitalia away from her.
"They know each other from Instagram, I think and then meeting for the first time, and then having engaged, and then move to America so quick. That's why I spread the gossip saying that James is really bad person to my dad because how can I know that James is really good person?" Angel said.
She informed James that she did not trust him because she believed he walked into their lives as a stranger and stole her sister. James explained he did not "steal" Meitalia but took her to the U.S. because he needed to support her and take care of her.
Despite that, Angel refused to believe him. Meitalia reassured her that she was happy and that they were moving to Indonesia. The news bothered Angel, who worried James would struggle to find a job without knowing their language. She revealed she could not accept the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star as her brother-in-law because she doubted his ability to fend for Meitalia.
James reassured Angel that he would take Meitalia's responsibility and look after her, but she remained unconvinced.
