“Insufferable”— Survivor fans criticize Rome for following Sol so he can’t dig up an idol

Season 47 of Survivor has made it to episode 4 on October 9. The episode was titled, Is That Blood in Your Hair after Sue's rendezvous with fake blood. It saw another member of the Lavo team— Kishan— being evicted after Ayesha from the same team was sent home last week.

After one elimination from team Lavo became imminent, Sol, Rome, Genevieve, and Kishan started scrambling for strategies to save themselves. Each one of these players felt the target on their heads or the threat of getting blindsided. Rome initially wanted everyone to vote for Sol before they flipped their votes on Kishan.

Rome followed Sol wherever he went to prevent him from digging up an immunity idol, constantly watching over him, and even walking into the jungles with him. Fans of Survivor took to X to criticize Rome for his behaviour. Some said it was just the start of the game while others said that wasn't how the game was played.

"I can’t imagine someone having the audacity to tell me not to look for an idol. Rome is insufferable. Sol is better than me," said a fan.

"Yeah Rome's ego is way too big, so they can find an idol and Sol can't? weird mindset," said another fan.

"NEED THAT LOSER ROME OFF MY ISLAND FATHER SOL FIND THAT IDOL," a third one added.

"I take everything positive back I’ve said about rome. He’s so weird. Like you have an extra vote… you’re literally safe. F*ck an idol," another one wrote.

Some Survivor fans jokingly shared Sol's point of view and asked him to get Rome out of his way.

"If I was Sol, and I punched Rome in the face after this, Jeff better not ask me why I did it," an X user wrote.

"I respect Sol so much for not wanting to punch Rome in the face. I get it's a game but I dunno how much restraint I could have sharing a tribe with Rome," another X user wrote.

"Rome literally acting like Sol’s stalker following him around like a fucking asshole not realizing that he’s ruining his own game because Sol is KING and everyone can see you aren’t even treating him like a PERSON," another comment read.

"Sol should be allowed to fight Rome, let the camera guys just let him get one clean shot," another fan said.

What else went down on episode 4 of Survivor season 47?

Team Gata became the breadwinners this week of Survivor. Sue, from team Tuku, found the team's Beware Advantage, but in the process splattered blood-stained paint all over herself, making it hard to hide her achievements from her friends.

Genevieve was introduced to the team on target, Lavo. She didn't like Rome following Sol around either, according to what she discussed with Sol. If Rome's already criticized tactic wasn't enough, he also threatened Sol by saying he would steal his vote with the power he had and eliminate him.

Rome was also one of the major reasons for Kishan's departure. He told Genevieve that Kishan took her name as a decoy, which made Genevieve tell him Kishan was dangerous because he took Rome's name as well. This moved the target to Kishan. Rome used his steal-a-vote on Kishan and the group unanimously voted Kishan out.
