Season 5 of Love After Lockup reached episode 56 on January 17. Titled D*ckmatized, the episode saw new developments between couples separated by prison walls.
Donny, who went to prison for selling drugs revealed some shocking news to Jakeema, his Love During Lockup girlfriend.
While at a dance class, Jakeema received a call from Donny, who informed her he had been moved to a prison three hours away and would be there for another eight months. He admitted to selling drugs as a last resort due to struggles finding work as an ex-inmate.
Disappointed, Jakeema asked how much longer he would be incarcerated. Donny shared that he had 2.5 years left, which upset her even more.

Fans of Love After Lockup came to X to react to this shift in Donny's.
"Donny isn't trustworthy. Jakeema should split (with her twin sons) with the quickness," a fan said.
"Donny done got transferred already…," said another fan.
"They moved Donny from Marion OH to Youngstown OH. He was definitely selling drugs in there and that’s why they moved him," added a third.

Jakeema finds out about Donny's transfer on Love After Lockup season 5 episode 56
In Love After Lockup episode 56, Jakeema was seen taking dance classes with her friend Amarea. She said she was doing so to take her mind off everything that was happening with Donny.
A flashback then revealed her reading some documents and guessing that Donny was being moved to another prison. She also shared that she was removed from the visitation list and there was a drug charge on him as well.
Jakeema sarcastically said:
"Thank you Donny for the triple threat, I love it. Thank you so much."
She then narrated the same to Amarea and stated that she was irritated. Jakeema said that she moved to Ohio just so she could visit him and now when she was removed from the visitors list she felt like her move was pointless.
Then when Donny called her, Jakeema asked why there was a new drug charge. Donny told her it didn't matter as long as the rent money was coming in. He called it "legitimate money."
He further said that she didn't have to worry about the money being illegal and that everything was right. Jakeema found the reassurance she needed as she stated that she was scared with her name and her Cash App in his drug-related charge papers especially because she had kids.
