The season premiere saw the housewives attend Lisa Barlow's Valentine's party, which she called "Besos" to "remind her girlfriends" that she loved them. However, it soon transformed into the ideal spot for confrontations and arguments. The ladies used the opportunity to address unresolved issues, hoping to move on from their disagreements.

One such cast member was Meredith, who confronted Whitney, accusing her of allegedly copying her business ideas. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star criticized Whitney for selling bath products, which Meredith believed was her thing. Whitney countered her accusation, revealing her bath business existed before Meredith started hers. However, it did not convince Meredith.

What happened between Meredith and Whitney in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 Episode 1?

At the Besos party, Meredith approached Whitney to inquire about her business ventures. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star was convinced Whitney was copying her ideas. First, she came out with a jewelry line, Prism Lifestyle Co., and then started a line of bath products, Wild Rose Beauty. Since Meredith was also involved in those market spaces, she became suspicious of her intentions.

"What is up with the bath bombs?" Meredith asked.

She added that whenever she announced a business idea, Whitney launched a similar one sooner or later. Consequently, she asked Whitney if she was doing so intentionally or had a bone to pick with her. Hearing that, Whitney said:

"I have no problem with you. I think that you're reading way too much into this."

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member stated their conversation was "serving deja vu," flashing back to a conversation in the previous season where Meredith thought Whitney was trying to humiliate her marriage and bathtub. Whitney claimed Meredith was "spending too much time in the bathtub," which was why her brain was starting to "shrivel up and prune."

Whitney revealed she had sold bath bombs in the past.

"If you were a friend, you'd know I've already sold bath bombs. That's how I launched my business...You bought Iris and Beau [Whitney's business] and put it in your store," Whitney said.

Meredith countered saying she was never aware that Whitney's store sold bath bombs. Whitney apologized for not shipping some samples to her address, disappointed she doubted their friendship over it.
