“It’s annoying”- Southern Charm fans react to JT bringing canes for his castmates

Season 10 of another coveted Bravo show, Southern Charm, premiered on December 5, documenting the cast giving updates on the past months. Venita revealed that she was in a relationship with JT. The couple went shopping where she narrated how they got into a relationship, in a confessional.

While there, JT was seen walking with a cane. So he went to a confessional to tell viewers how his leg was injured. He said that when he went on an ATV ride in the mountains, he got into an accident, and fell.

His ATV came rolling down on his leg and he was trapped under it all alone in the jungle and he thought he was going to die. Luckily, his leg was alright but he had to walk with a cane until it recovered completely.

When JT met with the cast members, he got them all canes. Referring to Austen's new relationship with Taylor Ann Green, JT said he was giving him the cane for turning a new leaf.

He also handed canes to Craig and Patrica among others. Austen and Craig said it was weird as soon as JT left. Some fans of Southern Charm echoed their sentiments and came to X to comment on it.

"JT gives weirdo energy. Bringing these STUPID canes and now forcing everyone to cart them around all day, mine would directly from my hand into the nearest garbage. Stop making everything about YOU, JT. It's annoying." said one fan.

"After JT shamed himself as always, by trying to gift Patricia who's our favourite octogenarian a cane, Venita said she wished he had spoken to her first as if she wasn't in the van, when he announced that everyone would get one," another fan added.

"JT tries too hard that's why he's not liked. he probably doesn't mean any harm but yeah he's a pick me," a third fan added.

"Not another season of JT using Austen as a storyline with his peg leg. Austen should take his cane and whack him with it," another wrote.

Some fans of Southern Charm reacted to JT giving a cane to Patricia as well.

"JT that was not a smart move giving miss Patricia the cane was not," an X user wrote.

"JT brought a cane for everyone. It was funny for everyone. Pat acting offended is ridiculous. GTFOH," another X user wrote.

"JT giving Ms. Patricia a CANE as a gift?? Boy you don’t want to p*ss off the Matriarch of Charleston," commented one.

"Is this the reason why JT quit? He brought canes for the entire cast. I don’t think he was being disrespectful. Patricia can be a real b*tch sometimes. I dislike that side of her immensely," another said.

JT gives Austen a cane on Southern Charm season 10 episode 1

In Southern Charm season 9, JT had a crush on Taylor Ann Green and he even admitted it to her. And even though she rejected his advances, he got into a physical fight with Austen when he cheated on his then-girlfriend, Olivia, with her best friend, Taylor.

So on the premiere of season 10, when it was revealed that Taylor was still with Austen, JT gifted him a cane as a mending symbol. He said that after his near-death experience, he was thinking about him. He said he was a "little harsh" on him in the previous season but he was "happy as hell" he had a girlfriend.
