Survivor Season 47 aired a new episode on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. After last week's elimination scarred many relationships, the latest segment saw the remaining castaways try to mend their connections and consolidate alliances. Andy attempted to reconcile with Sam at the start of the episode, after ending his closest ally, Sierra's journey on the show the previous week.
The following morning, host Jeff Probst welcomed the contestants to their weekly immunity challenge. He announced that the castaways would compete in pairs for a chance to win a picnic reward and immunity. The first two pairs to complete the challenge would enter the final round, however, the pairs who finish last and second last would be eliminated from the game.
Additionally, they would also lose their votes from the Tribal Council. Jeff explained that they would get the opportunity to go on a "journey" to retrieve their votes. Survivor season 47 fans were disappointed with the twist. They claimed it was an unnecessary hurdle that jeopardized the essence of the game.

Survivor season 47 players Caroline, Andy, Sam, and Rachel lose the immunity challenge
For the immunity task, Sam coupled up with Andy, Gabe with Kyle, Teeny with Sol, Sue with Genevieve, and Caroline with Rachel. They had to pass through a tunnel and gather wood planks to construct a staircase. The two pairs that failed to secure the planks would lose their right to cast a vote. The remaining three would move on to the next round, which required building the staircase and crossing a balance beam.
The first two duos to cross the beam would earn the opportunity to enter the final round and participate in an endurance test. Sam, Andy, Caroline, and Rachel struggled to dig out the steps buried deep within the sand. Consequently, they lost their votes and headed to the journey for a chance to earn them back. Meanwhile, Gabe, Kyle, Sol, and Teeny outperformed Sue and Genevieve and entered the endurance test.
The duos that stood until the end got to enjoy a picnic while the others worried about being sent home.
After a grueling task, Gabe secured immunity and avoided the risk of being sent home. In the meantime, Caroline, Rachel, Andy, and Sam went on a journey where the castaways were tasked with stacking cards into a tower without letting it crash. The Survivor season 47 players took turns placing cards, however, the tower crumbled during Caroline's turn, barring her from casting a vote at the Tribal Council.
