Survivor Season 47 aired a new episode on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, introducing the castaways to the Survivor Auction. Tiyana was eliminated in the previous episode after an unexpected eviction. The remaining survivalists advanced to the next round of the competition, hoping to put their best foot forward and win challenges to secure safety from the impending elimination.
For this week's challenge, the cast members had to participate in the Survivor Auction and collect tubes of money scattered around the jungle. They could then use that money to bid on food items at the auction.
Host Jeff Probst welcomed the players and announced that the contestant left with the most money by the end of the auction would lose their vote at the upcoming Tribal Council.
The cast members hunted for the tubes and collected as many as possible. Sierra collected the most while Andy failed to find a single tube. It prevented him from bidding at the auction, compelling him to watch from the sidelines as the others bought food items.
Survivor fans took to X to criticize Andy's gameplay. They were surprised to see him not collect a single tube while the others easily found them.
"Andy finding zero tubes is so Andy it’s ridiculous," a fan wrote.
"Andy watching everyone eat their hearts out," another fan commented.
"Andy with the ultimate unintentional #Survivor auction hack. No money means no chance of losing his vote!" a netizen tweeted.
While some Survivor fans were disappointed with Andy's inability to find tubes, others were shocked to see him fail.
"Andy, I’ve tried to be on your side and root for you. But that was EMBARRASSING," a user reacted.
"Jfc Andy is so bad at this game…. And he somehow made it to jury," a person commented.
"I love you Andy…. But what the heck was that," another fan wrote.
"Andy is just so f**king useless at challenges LMAOOOOO bless him he’s a cutie," one user posted.
Some fans sympathized with Andy since he could not bid for any food item at the auction.
"Andy watching this entire auction and his peers eating, knowing he can’t bid," a person reacted.
"Everybody had something to eat except poor Andy Sierra know she coulda chose him to come eat the peanut butter and chocolate," another netizen commeneted.
What happened at the Survivor season 47 Auction?
After the castaways assembled at the auction, Jeff started the bidding. The first item sold was potato chips and soda, which Sol bought for $60. The next product for sale was macaroni and cheese, which Teeny bought for $640. Sierra purchased a concealed item for $800 and uncovered it to find chips, salsa, and a margarita.
Kyle took the fourth item for $560 and unveiled it to find buffalo wings and celery on the plate. Since he was hungry, he ate the wings. However, he confessed he was disappointed in himself because he was a vegetarian.
"It's turned me into an animal," he said.
The fifth item for sale was also covered, which Gabe purchased for $660. Jeff gave him the option of trading it with another concealed item, but the Survivor cast member decided to retain his initial choice, and ended up buying a coconut. The covered item that Gabe declined was sold to Sol for $540. It was a giant apple pie with cream.
Rachel spent $500 on a burger, fries, and a beer, whereas Genevieve spent all her money on a dessert tray. Later, Rachel found an advantage in her bowl of fries and tucked it under her shirt.
The next item was a blueberry pancake tray priced at $200. Caroline, Sue, and Sierra each wanted it, but Jeff announced that whoever could eat two grubs could win the tray. Sierra backed out of the challenge while Sam ate the grubs and won it.
Sue spent all her remaining money on a burrito, whereas Caroline unknowingly bought fish eyes. The eleventh and final item was peanut butter and chocolate, which Sierra purchased and could share with two other castaways. She invited Gabe and Caroline to eat the peanut butter and chocolate, leaving Andy with nothing.
At the end of the Survivor auction, Sam was left with the most money. Consequently, he was barred from voting at the upcoming Tribal Council.
Survivor releases new episodes every Wednesday at 8 pm ET only on CBS.
