90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days released its latest episode on Sunday, September 29, 2024. In the segment, Rayne and Chidi discussed the latter's blindness at length. Chidi explained he was diagnosed with glaucoma after he was hit in the right eye with an apple.

After losing vision in his right eye, his eyesight became limited. It raised difficulties in his daily activities. On one such occasion, he hit a bench and eventually lost the vision in his left eye as well. However, Rayne suggested that there was a spiritual reason behind Chidi's blindness which brought them together. His accident was not a "normal occurrence" to her.

She was relieved she did not have to be self-conscious around Chidi because of his blindness. Chidi worried about Rayne and her belief that his blindness was for a purpose. During a confessional, he admitted her statements were "outlandish." 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days fans took to X to criticize Rayne for demeaning his medical condition by making it about her.

In the latest episode, Rayne inquired Chidi about the accident that caused his blindness. Chidi revealed an apple fell on his right eye while he was picking them off a tree with his cousin. Although the pain was "excruciating," he did not worry too much about it since it subsided as night fell. Everything was normal until a year later when he started struggling to see.

The doctors diagnosed him with glaucoma, a disease caused as a result of head trauma. The 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star added that he was unsure whether the apple or something else caused his glaucoma. After losing eyesight in his right eye, Chidi fell and hit his left eye on a wooden bench, rendering himself completely blind.

However, Rayne suggested he became blind spiritually.

"When I met Chidi after he told me he was blind, I felt kind of relieved, like, oh my god, I don't have to be so self-conscious anymore," Rayne said.

The 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star added it allowed her "to feel closer to him" than anybody she had ever been with. She was convinced it was "definitely no coincidence" that Chidi lost his eyesight in two separate incidents.

"I think something spiritual happened to him that made him lose his sight so that we could come together. It's just adding up to, like, the perfect thing," Rayne confessed.

She suggested that his blindness was not a "normal occurrence" since everyone was "smacked in the face countless times." Chidi listened to his 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days partner in disbelief. While speaking to the cameras, he revealed Rayne's statements were "bizarre and weird." He felt insulted by her views and claimed she lived in an "alternate reality."
