“It’s rude”- Love is Blind fans criticize Alex for taking a nap while Tim’s parents were over

Season 7 of Love is Blind released its third installment of episodes i.e. episodes 10 and 11 on October 16 after the season premiered earlier this month. In the latest episodes, the show documented the couples meeting each other's families before they got ready to walk down the aisle. Showcasing some couples had cracks forming in their relationship, culminating in a breakup.

Alex and Tim were among the couples who saw each other's parents. But doing so made them realize that they weren't compatible enough for a marriage. In episode 10, Tim's parents drove for about 10 hours to meet their only son's new fiancée from Love is Blind. However, Tim didn't like it when Alex slept off while they were over.

In her defense, Alex said she only went to sleep for an hour after she spoke to them for 4 hours. That made no difference to Tim though because he had made up his mind about their relationship. He broke off the engagement and walked out of their co-living. Fans of Love is Blind also didn't think Alex's behavior was appropriate, they came to X to call her out on the same.

"If my fiancé's parents drive 10 hours to meet me, I don’t care how tired I am, I’m not taking a nap. It’s rude. But Tim’s I don’t ever want to see you again was harsh," one fan said.

"Tim asked Alex’s dad for her hand in marriage, got her dad EMOTIONAL, and ALEX MET TIM’S PARENTS, to then end it over a NAP," another fan said.

"So Tim’s parents drove 10 hours to meet Alex, then as soon as the cameras cut she goes to sleep instead of hanging out with them off camera?? Even if she was tired, don’t nap.. go spend time with them then leave EARLY to sleep, at least seem interested," another fan added.

"Tim’s parents probably was sleepy too after that 10 hr drive but was scared to go to sleep," another fan wrote.

Some Love is Blind fans sided with Tim but said that Alex's nap wasn't reason enough for a breakup.

"Sure, Alex wasn’t right for taking a nap while Tim’s parents were there. But, marriage is about compromise .. you ending it over that and a text is stupid," one X user wrote.

"lol Alex sleeping during her first time meeting Tim’s parents and not thinking anything of it is so on brand for her But Tim’s level of anger at it is totally based on his trauma. I hope they’re done done. It’s toxic," another X user wrote.

"Alex… why would you take a nap during a scheduled time Tim’s parents are in town? Ma’am," a fan added.

Alex's meeting with Tim's parents on episode 10 of Love is Blind season 7

When Tim's parents walked in and greeted Alex on Love is Blind, his father said she was a "beautiful lady". They told her how Tim's name was actually Drake and Tim was actually his father's name. His mom then said that they took marriage very seriously and asked about Alex's views on it. Alex confirmed that she thought the same way.

His mom then talked about how hard marriage could get at times and the work both parties should be willing to put in for a marriage to succeed. Alex agreed, Tim and his parents then left to have a chat in private. They told him they trusted his instincts.

After the parents left, Tim sat down with Alex in a different scene on Love is Blind season 7 episode 10, and brought up her nap. She said she was tired of working all day so decided to doze off for an hour. He also brought up how they had talked only once all day and about his text which she didn't respond to.

Alex said she didn't know those things bothered him and asked him to communicate more. But Tim had made up his mind. He told her he didn't see a future together and wanted to part ways. After a heated conversation, Tim walked out of the apartment.
