Season 1 of Love is Blind Habibi premiered with episodes 1-9 on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Eligible bachelors and bachelorettes from different backgrounds participated in this one-of-a-kind experiment to find their life partners sight unseen. While some couples got engaged after multiple dates, others faced rejection in the pods.
In episode 4, Catching Up With Cupid, the engaged couples exited the pods and met in a group setting. Hajar and Simo were one such couple who got engaged earlier in the episode. The pair was eager to spend quality time with each other and looked forward to testing their compatibility in the real world.
Simo and Hajar went on a romantic date where they enjoyed a meal together. Although their conversation started on a positive note, it took a turn when Hajar mistreated the waitress serving them. She rejected the food being served to her because the waitress was late.
Simo was displeased by Hajar's demeanor. He questioned her harsh treatment of the service staff, leading to a disagreement. Love is Blind Habibi fans disapproved of Hajar's behavior, praising Simo for confronting her. One fan on X wrote:

Simo and Hajar enjoyed a romantic date in episode 4 of Love is Blind Habibi. As they enjoyed their meal, they discussed several important issues regarding the future of their relationship. Soon, the waitress arrived to serve a couple of dishes to their table. However, Hajar turned her away, saying, "It's too late. I'm almost done."
Simo took the plates from the waitress and placed them on their table, thanking her for the service. Displeased with Hajar's harsh words, he said:
"Why did you talk to that poor girl like that? That was inappropriate."
The Love is Blind Habibi star's disappointment peaked when Hajar refused to reflect on her behavior. She failed to find anything wrong with how she treated the waitress. Frustrated by her unremorseful attitude, Simo criticized Hajar.
"You shouldn't have done that in my presence. I'll leave the restaurant," Simo said.
Hajar was surprised by her partner's stance, expecting him to side with her. She explained that sometimes she "could be rude with people," but Simo firmly refused to defend her. It left Simo wondering about the type of person Hajar was.
While speaking to the cameras, the Love is Blind Habibi cast member said that if someone had nothing nice to say to another person, they should not say something to hurt that person either. Meanwhile, Hajar revealed before the cameras that they had "challenging" personalities and could either "drive each other mad or fall madly in love."
